Y33 lower control arm/ball joint issues.

So I have JIC coils, and everything else is stock. My front left ball joint keeps blowing out. I have pressed in two MOOG K9818 (non zerk fitting) ball joints and they have both blown out within a few hundred miles. I am not at the point of dropping $300 on an OEM assembly, but I am getting close. I was thinking of going to a local junkyard that has a Q (rare in my area) and pulling the stock arm as long as there is no play in it. Anyone else had problems like this? I know the MOOG is for a Maxima, but it's what people have said will work.

Who are you having press them in? Are they getting seated completely? If there is any play in them it's going force stress on them and beat the shit out of it.

I press them in. They definitely seat correctly.

Just as a helpful hint, this number also cross references to a AC Delco number of 45D2261.

Typically the same factory but half the price. I'm getting them for $35 Canadian from my wholesaler so that's pretty solid.

I have had one in for eight months now and it is fine. I guess I just got unlucky with a few. Who the fuck knows?

No idea, aftermarket stuff is always hit and miss. Typically Moog is really good but I've had some parts right out of the box with issues in the past.
