can you bottom out with air bags (driving height)

sorry for lame question.

but is it possible to bottom out struts while driving on reasonable height (2 finger gap) or even full height ? can the air bag still compress un-intentionally ? or does the car just get really bouncy ?

depends on the stroke length

I usually bottom out on my upper control arm before I bottom out on the strut.

like hamads said, stoke length. but yes it is possible to bottom out riding low.  ive snapped my strut from doing it before.
