What is the biggest difference? If I use a airstruts will I still get as low as bags? Please discuss n00b to airride suspension.
come on guys I knwo ya'll want to discuss how you get so dang low.
im no expert, but id venture to say VOLUME! usually bags can hold more volume than a bag over a strut, no matter how you slice it. with volume also comes travel. but if you have a vip car, chances are you won't be able to run bags, unless you are a pretty good fabricator. the easiest way out is an air strut. next you will prob ask about the diff between all the air struts... which you can prob gather a good amount of information with search. to address your second post... getting really low isn't necessarily easy, and it usually takes more than just a custom air suspension setup. hope this helps.
what kind of car do you have? some vehicles can only use bags while some use airstruts, or even bags from universal air which enable you to use your stock strut. double bellow type bags (the ones that look like 2 donuts) usually have better lift than a typical sleeve type bag found on most airstruts. Some airstruts to have double bellow bags but the stroke of the strut might restrict it from fully compressing or fully extending. all depends.

well the accord being that it comes stock with struts, you'll be better off getting an air strut for it. fabricating brackets for air bag would be too much work, and there are many companies that make an air strut for your accord. theres air lift company (aka easy street), air ride technolgy, air runner, bold world... all are very good companies but to make the front a bit lower you gotta modify the folks a bit.. im sure if you really wanted to you could fab up your own bracketry in the front and rear. being that you have an upper and lower control arms, the strut is stationary. it doesnt turn with the steering. but that would be too complicated, you could lay out your accord on the ground and raise it upwards to about 8"-10"... but that would be more for a lowrider scene... before folk mod [IMG]http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b335/calitri808/honda/ray021-1.jpg[/IMG] [IMG]http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b335/calitri808/honda/ray019.jpg[/IMG] [img]http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p278/pjtsx/n1130460059_30000958_5226.jpg[/img] [img]http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p278/pjtsx/n1130460059_30000963_6738.jpg[/img] and after folk mod, it sits lower in the front and on work wheels usa site... Haha, I didn't know Samson changed the name from Revision Audio to Revision Garage? I spy Will's A32 behind him in that one pic. Lance's Accord = hottest Accord in Hawaii. And yes, the use varies from car to car as mentioned..some even use a combination of both. I'd be patient and wait a little longer for Easystreet's new struts. They were supposed to be finished already, but as per my convo with them on Friday they will be out for the public this month. They are being tested as we speak.
