anyone every heard of K-Sport coilovers??

i found these on ebay..they seem to be good based on the description about them..anyone kno if they are any good??

niicee. they're  american made coilovers but very good quality. I was looking at them for my xb but the spring rates are super high so I passed. I just recently found out u can get custom spring rates if u order directly through them so I may look into them again.

They aren't made in America.  Made in Taiwan....They just have a US warehouse here.  They are the same products as D2 Racing.

I've got a few buddies with Mitsubishi Mirages that are running them, and they like them alot. the downfalls:

1. Put washers on all the bolts - the bolts/nuts will cut into the aluminum.

2. The Stock springs are too heavy - again, they found out you can order custom spring rates.

3. Not sure if this is car specific, but the camber plates on the 1997-2002 mirage setup are incorrect, about 20 degrees off by eyeballing it (for some reason they mounted the camber adjustment EXACTLY perpendicular to the 2 inside mounting holes, but these holes are not parallel to the frame). Adjusting camber will also add caster on these. This was not a big concern for everyone, as some of the guys were putting them on an older car, and had to drill all three mounting holes anyway (the older Mirages had 2 holes, but the new tophats have 3).

But, overall, they say that the ride quality at about a setting of 4 (of 6, with 1 being full hard) is really nice compared to the stock suspension. Granted, we are talking an econobox car, but maybe this will give you all some insight.

lol that's what I meant. in arizona.

i wouldnt trust them, and they aren't going to get you low enough. drifters using these had nothing but meh sayings about them. the first batches per car were pretty bad (so i  have heard) after that, they just really didn't go low enough, and the 'clicks' to adjust damping didn't feel very solid/definitive.

I've seen their ads in magazines and they seem to be copies of other coilovers sorta like what megan is doing

K-Sports start to leak after about a year. I suppose they are good if your on a budget and plan to replace them anyways.

megan racing, D2, K-sport, it's all the same stuff. Mass marketed Ebay coilovers, that unknowing people buy, because they see it as a 'good deal'. It's not really worth it, so stay away from it. for the extra 500 bucks, you can get GOOD coilovers made specifically for your application.

do these coilovers like ksport d2 etc.. go more lowere than teins or? cause i have heard that these coilovers have independent adjustable shock body. is this true? i guess teins dont have independent shock body!

on xbs they lower 6+ inches all around

im going by what others have said about them. ive had everything from tein, zeal, h&r, air suspension, skunk2, tanabe.. so ive ridden in them all. the xb is my daily and itll be my girls car too so im looking for low(er) spring rates than what ksport has to offer. ill probably end up with hks hypermax c.

K-Sports are known to blow shocks/struts within a short amount of time.  I wouldn't buy them.

I know a few people who have been running them constantly over a year street and track and have not leaked.

K-Sports is probably the cheapest coilovers and i dont mean in price. They are just terrible quality. Save yourself a hassle these wont even last a year. They will be blown and leaking within months

been running ksports in my girls sti for over a year now. no problems whatsoever.
