Who banks with Chase?

I do and was wondering if they charge to get a new debit card. The magnetic strip on my current one isn't reading at some places. It expires in 09 so its not too old. Anybody know?

i've never been charged with a new debit card, but i bank with BofA. um, i had my cards stolen, and my chase visa card was in there, and i didn't get charged for a new one. if it's defective, i don't see why not?

hhmmmm....

I'm a banker (Wells) and we dont charge, and were a pretty costly bank. Charging to get a replacement debit card sounds absurd. If they do charge, threaten to close your account and escalate the call - it works wonders and its only a couple of extra minutes, but at least minutes dont (shouldnt) cost anything

Im sure of it, the only reason I keep my Wells account is because its free and interest bearing on both checking and savings........now only if I could keep some money in there!
