i'm having a hard time deciding what sized tires to run.

ok......20x9 +24 (front) 20x9.5+30 (rear)


what tire size do you think i should run? this is going on my gs, i'll be lowered, but with only coilovers. 

i don't mind a mild stretch, but i dont want the barrel showing/lip to be completely exposed. i want it more conservative, as i think these rims aren't even going to be TOO extreme in the first place. i don't even think they will poke out at all, if they do, it shd be just enough hehe. i'm not telling anybody the rims, i still want to keep it a lil secret for now. give me another 4 weeks, and when they get there, i'll post up teaser shots.

On the 20x9  245/35/20
On the 20x9.5  255/35/20
That will yield a mild stretch.  I would personally run a 225 on the 9 and a 235 on the 9.5, but that's just me.

remember, when you go to drop your car having a little stretch can help make clearances a little better. I would go with something a little on the aggressive side to really make the car look nice on the wheels.

Im with "Elpresidente" on the sizes.  Go with a 225/35 on the 9' and a 235/35 on the 9.5

it's hard to find matching sets of tires in those sizes....i'll check though. i'd rather run a lil bigger width tire anyways, elpresidente's sizes were pretty good looking. i'll wait for a couple other responses, pictures would help too! give me a profile shot if possible.

These are on my old 20's
20x10 wheel with a 245/35/20 tire.  The tires are Toyo Proxes4.  Keep in mind different tires stretch differently.  Dunlop's and Falkens tend to stretch more at the same given sizes then most other brands.

update, i got the rims today!

i'm going to take the rims, put them on the car, and see how it looks (front/back) and take pictures and see how much it really sticks out or whatnot, and see what the tire experts think for stretching or whatnot.

anybody think i can get away with running 255's all around?

I would run 235/30/20 all around. To me 35 series tires on a 20" wheel is too much sidewall. I know of some denali's and trucks that run that sidewall size. Esp if you going with a wide tire like a 255 on a 9 wide I would run a 30 series.

GOod suggestions thus far.  I also agree with getting 225 in front and 235 for the rear, will give it a good stretch.

If you can find me a Denali on 245/35/20 tires, I'll buy you a beer. Denali's and such run much bigger tires, trust me; I own one. My winter wheels are 285/50/20, and that's still a bit smaller than stock.
