F50 Wheel fitment and suspension

Ok, so UcanTry just bought a F50, we've been friends for a long time so last nigth I drove down to Richmond to test fit my wheels on his car. I also wanted to check out the suspension first hand.

Rear Fitment:

Used my 19x10 +15 and added a 7mm spacer to make the effective offset +8
I took some pics but haven't had time to get them hosted. I will shortly and add them to this thread.

Now, with a 19x10 +8 on a 245/40 and no camber adjustment (maybe -1, from lowering it) the wheel/tire was very flush, and would easily clear the rear fender with just a roll.

My question is why does everyone seem to think F50's require such pussy fitment? I mean, with a little camber a 10+0 would easily fit.

Next question is, How would a 20x10 +8 fit differently? I have no expereience with larger diameter wheels, so this is a little bit past my knowledge, I am more fimiliar with 18's and some 19's. Any help/insight is apperciated.

Front fitment:

Used my 19x9 +10 and added the same 7mm spacer to make the effective offset +3.

Using the effective 19x9 +3 running a 225/35 and no camber adjustment again, the combo appeared to fit perfectly, although, I would venture to say that it needed a tad bit of camber.

Ok now

Rear suspension:
Seems to be a very similar set up to Z33's? Correct me if I'm wrong here.. but the reason I ask is because of the availability of Z33 suspension componets.

Front suspension:

Seems to be very similar to Y33 front suspension. It appears to be a larger shock, but it's been awhile since I looked at stock y33 suspension. Also the end links are a bit different.

I'm not trying to take short cuts here, I'm just curious as to what parts are interchangable

I would say not to even think of swapping out suspension parts due to the weight difference of a Z33 and a F50 Q. Oh, the last pic of the front wheel, is the car on a lift or something? You say the car is lowered but it looks like it is on cinder blocks, lol.
Wheels look killer on the ride though
Cheers

That's stock height? Damn, I'm jealous, my car lowered has that exact fitment, that exact amount of poke. I want an F50 bad.

We "lowered" it by having 3 fat people sit in the trunk.

Weight difference is irrelevent, especially for something like a camber arm. Not to mention z33 weight and F50 weight arn't as far off as s13 and y33, and there are plenty of people running s13 suspension componets on y33's (including myself) on this forum.

Now back to the original question. Will z33 suspension componets phyically fit? Please leave your opinions out of this discussion. I'm just looking for facts.

the F50 can run very aggressive fitments, I know of many Japanese owners that run +1 and +5 offsets. I believe the misconception stems from the fact that many owners are running EXE style wheels in conservative offsets in Japan as well.

imo, this is a little bit out of the fender... more than natural camber curve can take care of
Forum image
So adding camber is the way to go, of course... and the F50 does seem to share similar susp components to the FM platform.. BUT, most all "camber arms" avl for the Z33/G35 adjust camber by pushing the bottom of the spindle out, and not really pulling the top of the spindle in. You will get a little more clearance, but not as much as if you had an adjustable uca... which doesn't seem readily-avl at the moment. Judging from just THAT one pic... I'd say the adj lca with a 5-7mm less agressive wheel (i.e. the wheel w/o the spacers) would prob be quite nice with the fenders rolled..

so judging form those pics and these specs i beleive that the front wheels and the back wheels im getting will stick out:
3mm more in the front
8mm more in the rear

pics:
19*9 +10 with a 8mm spacer which makes it a: 19*9 +2
19*10 +15 with a 8mm spacer makes it a : 19*10 +7

ones im getting:
20 9.5 +5 will stick out 3mm more
20 10.5 +5 will stick out 8 mm more

sound right?

Yea, you did the math right, as long as those were 8mm spacers... either way it's within a mm.

Any lines on suspension yet?

your wheel will be roughly 6mm further out than whats pictures above. Remember Camber will play a part in your fitment though.

Also, Oneton.. When you say natural camber curve, exactly what are you refering to?

Thanks...
