my KNUCKLES hurt!

Just got finished changing the valve cover gasket on the Q today. 4 hours Of back breaking work and my baby no longer stinks of burnt oil and has new plugs.:thumbsup: 

At one point I thought I blew my a/c system. I was trying to wiggle the valve cover out (passenger side, did the driver side about 2 months ago) and the ac line is in the way but has room to flex, so i pushed on it with the cover and refrigerant/freon/ sprayed out a lil. I am guessing it was from a release valve b/c the a/c still works great with no problems. Thought I was going die for a second there.

BTW My engine has a thing for rubber gloves. I think I went through like 8 pairs today.

Yeah good luck with that. But the passenger side is definately easier to do. BUt has just as much crap in the way.

But really what why should a valve cover change take 3-6 hours to do?

Yeah the write on nico is what i followed for the driver side. and some how still took me 6 hours.
