struts to go with tein s-tech springs

i currently have tein s-tech springs on stock shocks. dont really like the feel of the ride so i want to go with some struts to make it smoother. which struts will best fit my situation? i have an 2001 gs300 with 20" rims. i know coilovers are the best way to go but i cant see myself spending 1800 for some tein cs. any help is greatly appreciated thanks

kyb gr-2 or bilstein hd shocks. also tein cs run about 1300-1400

are ky-b and bilstein about the same. is one more smoother than the other? and yea the tein cs are about 1400 but i just included installation and alignment it will come out to about 1800. and thats alot of dough. thanks

read good things about both shocks so either one will be good. my friends has h-techs and ky-b's on his gs400 and says its rides better than stock

i got my FLEX through a groupbuy  for ~1400 after taxes, install it yourself, and take it to the alignment shop, it should run you about 1600 at most...

i don't justify spending 5-600 on a good set of shocks, when you can just spend a bit more, get a lower ride, with good performance. 

to each his own though.

yeah i would have to agree with him. the amount you pay for springs/shocks, you could save and pick up a used set of coilovers.
