any good with led's?

so i know very little about building circuits and led's. but i want to replace my lights in my gauges and climate controls with some brighter led's. wanna help?

as far as climate controls, i see people on clublexus all the time desoldering the stock lights and buying LEDS from ebay or other websites, PM me, i can give you the link to it. you just have to find which LED bulbs your car takes.

i believe somewhere on clublexus theres a thread with instuctions on how to do it, might offer some insite on what to do...just a idea.....and theres a vendor on clublexus that does it as well and i talked to them about doing a 240 back in the day and they said they could do just send them the control units

They are very well priced and I have had mine in for a year now and have had no probelms..They are simply plug and plag no need for ciruitry unless you want to do it the hard way. as far as replaceing in your guages and climated controls..Just pull them out and see what light s they use and swap them out the same...

Yeah you just have know the correct bulb type and buy it..When you take out you speedmoter..they have wiered looking lights..pop twist them out and try to remove the bulb itself. IT should come out..then you will know what bulb type to replace. IF they dont come out I dont know what to tell you.

are you going to replace the bulbs in your sun visors?

shawn what does your climate control look like? If there was some part sharing with the previas/ls400s then this link might be able to help you with that.

I am not sure..I was thinking about it but, I am going to add some actual single LED lights to the headliner with a dimmer switch for night pictures..I kinda like the  yellowish lighting because it gives more or an ellegance feel where as the white ligts give it more of a modern feel if you will..So right now I am at a stump..

I feel the same exact way you do! I was explaining to my boy "C4 president" toinght, the LED does stand out, but the yellow does give it a more ellegant look! IMO! Especially if your gonna have them dim! Those interior pics are nice though!

zion on ur map lights blue or white? they look blue... but could it be the pic?

They are white but the camera pics it up as blue..I need to play more with the light settings I may have used floresant lighting source..I am still learning..Maybe an incandesent light source would be better for night..I have read while taking night shots it is better to have your lighting source set to incandesent as Most cities or what ever it may be you are snapping have multiple light sources...

hhmmm...have u guys seen this? its from japan, got i couple of months ago from s'pore trip..they said its the hot stuffs few months ago back then during the 07autosalon in japan..

but didn't had a chance to install 'em..it has multiple head-end you can install 'em in interior lighting, door light, maybe license plate lightin if big enough, 
n i was thinkin installin mine as side mirror lightin as in like the new BMW..if u guys know what im talkin about..but then again, i need to cut n custom here n there..too much hastle..so....

maybe thinkin of sellin 'em..but dun know yet..

personally, i've done a lot of led work and i will only replace original leds with loose leds. if it is orginally a bulb i use led bulbs the same size (with a couple exceptions). gonna be hard to know exactly what you're dealing with until you pull it out, especially on such a rarely modded chassis.
