Super Star UCF20 Build

Figured I would start a build thread to show you guys what we're working on for 2014. Sorry in advance for the mostly iphone/instagram pictures. 

I'll start off from the beginning and bring you up to date. Started off with the suspension. BC/UAS setup and Megan arms in the rear. Cut the shock towers in the front and had it sitting pretty much where I wanted it.

Found a great deal on some Weds Kranze Cerberus so I refinished and relip'd them to 18x10/11. Got the front sitting flush with a spacer and tucked the rears and rocked this look last year.

Got pretty bored with the look and decided I wanted to go a lot further so I picked up a daily and started gathering parts for the build. 

New additions for next year:
- Wald Sportsline kit
- SSR SP3's 19x10.5/11.5 (5.5 and 6.5" lips) 
- LED tails 
- Clazzio seat covers
- 326 Power Front RCA's
- Full repaint with radius'd and flared fenders 

My seats were torn and gross so these really brought the interior back to life. And they're a darker color which is pretty cool. Still some wrinkles in the pictures but they're mostly gone now.

Test fitted the wheels and kit

Lots of cutting and hammering later we got the rear sitting where I want and stocked to mock up the fender flare. Should be about a 2.5-3" radius.

Haha me too. If you ever got those spare sets we can make some but I just got my 326 Power RCA's and I'm running 19s now so I'm gonna see where I sit after that.

This is exactly what I want to have done on my GS in order to fit my 18x13 for the rear. Great looking flare!

Got my 326 Power RCA's in today. Very quality pieces, well worth the money.

you guys did a higher wheel arch in the front and rear?

Yeah radiused until it cleared aired out and then building the flares from there to sit on the wheel.

Thanks guys. Got the other side RCA on tonight and started to mess with a template for the front flares. This is just a rough idea and the bottom with flow into the bumper better.

Nope, they go right on top. I was really impressed with the quality, especially the rears.

Such a sick build. Have you thought about shaving the middle bar on the bumper?

Prewired LED's mounted to a piece of carbon fiber.

Looks good, did you shape the matching flare in the front bumper out of fiberglass?

i like a lot about it, dislike a couple things. the rear fender work is sick, unfortunately the front fender look very disproportionate in about every way (width and height). the vents look unfinished, they should have a finishing piece along the curve cut imo. i like the kit selection, gives it an old school sporty vibe. i don't like the bumper LED or black lights. window tint would be nice, as the tan interior clashes with the outer color. stance and wheels are killer, but i think matte black faces would set it off.

I really like the fenders as is, but I'm a huge fan of the open cut fenders, they look aggressive as hell but also somewhat subtle at the same time. I also normally hate black headlight but this thing pulls it off really well, window tint would tie it together like a chief though.

I dig the fenders and agree they're a little mismatched but they kind of have to be so that the front poke lines up with the rear. The LS400 has a taper front to back, so it's the only way to really pull this off.

I love this thing though, it's hard to make the UCF20 and UCF10/11 look like a newer car but this one makes you unsure of the year, doesn't look like a 90s big body anymore.

Sick ride, nice build....I agree with the two about the front fenders.  The flare is too high up on the fender.  Stance is sick!

the front fender is big because a camber rca was used to get the camber. had an adjustable fuca been used to tilt the top in, vs. the adapter that pushes the whole wheel out, it would have kept the proportions better (understood that camber adapters are easier to come by and significantly less expensive). because it's wider in the front it has to go higher up to have the same angle as the rear.

yup, exactly. FUCA's were not in the budget at all and since I didn't want a huge difference in lip size front to rear it kinda is what it is. The front flare is definitely bigger but I think it works with the cars lines as a whole.

Picked up some 2015 RLX LED projectors to start my retrofit. Clear DEPO lights are on the way from Japan. Really pumped on these.

Are you gonna be using the Ls460/600 fogs for the front bumper? Looks like a direct fit

Got my DEPO clear headlights in and started taking them apart. Lots of room with the reflectors taken out.

the headlights came out better than what i thought would come out. mad props on the entire build!

I would like to see more detail on how you wire them up. I was considering a LED headlight upgrade myself.
