UZS15 Majesta progress

This is where I left my majesta last year before the snow hit Northern Japan.

It was also time for the 2 year inspection this month so went to stock. Was handling horrible in the snow so I parked it in the garage.

While it has been snowing been getting ready for 2014.

Picked up short knuckle, ruca, rlca, 20k and 24k springs, adjustable tension and toe rods. 
Wont have updates on next progress until March but thought I would post some before then. 
Oh and will have the tint fixed before then. Trying to decide to go all black and get messed with by cops or take all the tint off... Thoughts?

I have some pics from last year if you want to see those. All parts are sitting in the house and the car is in the garage. Took it out once last week to the glass shop. They will not tint my windows due to Japanese laws. He wouldn't tell me anywhere else to get it done either... Guess I am taking off the old tint.

This year want to tuck rear wheels at least. Met a couple guys on facebook that have 15 majestas, such inspiration! Would like to eventually get new wheels too but maintenance is done on the car and the inspection is good for 2 years. Next I want to get the suspension down and then I can worry about wheels and accessories. The only accessories on the whole car are a set of Garson neckpads I have had since '07.

here in okinawa there are a bunch of tint shops.  not sure why such a difference in attitude towards dark tint but after the verbal warning about it being illegal they will gladly take your money and put whatever tint on you like.

maybe it's like how it is in the states where hot & sunny southern states are more likely to be lenient on dark tint.

is dark tint fairly rare up there or can you see a lot of cars tinted out, if so ask them perhaps where they did it?

Dark tint is fairly rare here in Aomori area... Been asking around and no shops will do it. Actually picked up some tint at Super Autobacs the other day. I am going to try doing it myself.

i'm sure there are a million diy videos on youtube on how to properly do it, but i know when i tried like 15 years ago we didn't have all these handy diy's and my shiz got lots of bubbles from not drying it properly or something.

Parts delivery earlier today. Adjustable tension and toe rod. Two more weeks till I start changing out parts!

lucky...  i see you on FB liking all these parts companies rods and links and what not.  i really want to go this route but then my perfectly flush sitting wheels won't be so perfectly flush sitting anymore and i would be heavily tempted into buying new more perfectly fitting wheels...  it's such a vicious cycle.  ;)    just make sure you put up lots of pics when you get them installed.

I am gonna need new wheels this year... plenty available on mainland! Will try to take lots of pics during the install.

Got the front done today. 4cm short knuckle, 1.5cm r.s.a. with oni kyan. Also put in the rear tension and toe rods. Couldnt break the bolts loose on the rear upper arm. Gonna drop the rear member tomorrow and try again. Then only have to put in rear coils and dial in ride height.

Oh nice!  I'd do the same and get all my suspension components done up too. Lucky you can sources em.  Tint is pretty easy. I use lots of water with a lil baby soap mixed.

Decided on removing the tint. Local shop is taking care of it this week... I really hope I can get this rear upper arm out today!

Thanks! The arms/knuckles/R.S.A. are all custom. A shop down south did the work. I wanted to pick my own settings.
