My 1999 Lexus LS400 from North Carolina Build

Well my name is Adam and I'm near Raleigh, North Carolina. I have always wanted to do a build on a VIP style platform and after toying with the idea while deployed and coming back from Afghanistan in 2012 I decided it was time to get the ball rolling last September. I took the parts off my Dodge Neon SRT-4 and sold the car and parts separate. With the cash I had from the car I went and picked up a 1999 Lexus LS400 with 130k miles on it. I then sold my parts off my car and picked up a D2Airride Suspension kit and some wheels.

-1999 Lexus LS400-
With the cash I had from the car I scoured the internet and local adds looking for a GS300/400 that was until the day I rode in my buddies 98 LS and knew that's what I wanted. After searching for about a month I found a 2 owner clean title 1999 Lexus LS400 with 130k miles on it in September of last year. I drove the 20mins and bought it that day.

-October 2013-

After not being content with the fishbowl windows I went and had my windows tinted 50% on windshield and 15% all the way around. I know it doesn't follow the typical light tint or curtains and no tint but I was needing tint.

-Airride Install-

So after having the suspension for awhile my buddies and I finally got a free day to install it.

After 6hours the install was done. It would have been done in about 4 if we didn't have to go to the local town to get some parts and lunch.

Lastly I decided to test fit my new wheels and see what they looked like. They are Yokohama Exclusive Homage EX-7 18x8.5 +33 and 18x9.5 +37. I added a 20mm spacer to the front and a 25mm spacer to the rear. I really like how the fitment is.

Yeah thats usually what all the Lexus and Infiniti and other cars like are around here. Up on 22's and purple tint. I hopefully will have some updates here in the next week or two.

in my opinion, you have chosen the best way to start. Everyone ends up with bags it seems anyway lol. Cant wait to see more progress.

Nice start. The rims are pleasantly different, planning to refurbish them? Black centers would look good on the silver...
