Uh oh, Vossen is popular in Japan now.

I know Vossen gets a lot of grief on here and thought it was funny that the guys in Japan are starting to run them on their VIP cars.  So I guess they will start to get accepted in the states for the VIP crowd since they copy everything Japan does.  LOL

hahah, funny but sad,,,.   yeah i noticed a couple cars running vossen wheels at the osaka auto show last year (2013).  the audi with the denim interior was sick.

not sure how i feel about vossen to be honest, since they were supposed to hook it up with a set of wheels for me on my ls430 as a sponsorship thing and then dropped the ball, then like 6 months later started stringing me along again and getting my hopes up.  then they completely dropped the ball and flaked on me.

not sure if they meant to do this the entire time thinking i would just buy a set of their wheels or if they had meant good just never got around to it¿¿¿  so they leave a somewhat sour taste in my mouth  ;)

I'm not sure how this effects people in the US. Just because they are putting those wheels on their cars doesn't mean we will have too to stay "VIP".

i had to check myself on this recently. i never really fucked with vossen just because they came on the scene and just kind declared themselves a luxury brand. cats who weren't really deep in the game started running them and you saw them all over the place. i didn't feel they were worthy of the cars they were getting put on. the thing about it is i love monoblock wheels. cast or forged, doesn't matter. so what really makes vossen different than the shit i love other than the design? nothing. so i'm done hating on vossen. if your shit is whack on vossens it's your fault, but a well executed ride is a well executed ride...

i think what's going to happen is there's gonna be a usdm vip scene in japan, similar to how the usdm scene over there is.

has anyone noticed that the new IS's & GS's are starting to look really similar to Mazdas's??  they got this new model mazda out here in japan now (not sure if it is in the states or not) and i've mistaken them for an IS or GS more than once, till i see its just a mazda with a kit and rims....   kinda makes me a little sad inside, sad for lexus...
