The Custom Metal widebody's (info and learning thread)

I looked around and was not able to find anything similar to this so here goes:

there are many different methods of creating flares/widebody's and modifying the metal fenders.
Lets post different custom jobs you guys have seen or done, showing what cuts/welds and flares were made.
basically showing how the bodywork was done.
Even simple pictures showing what style cuts were made and showing the weld lines already help a lot.

dont clutter with too many pictures for each one.

This should help alot when people are looking for ideas and want to look at different designs and methods to modify their metal fenders.

I will be adding some asap when I get off work..

Here is a great example:

T cut on rear quarter panel/pulling it apart/adding material and a flare on the edge of the fender.
For the front a long cut along the edge of the front fender separating it and adding about an inch of metal rewelding it back together.

Thats super cool. So much hard work but could be totally worth it instead of cookie cutter rivet on over fenders.

Though my style, I would like to find some more information for something like this.

Seems easily doable in comparison to that stuff. Like the 300C... dang.

.

Thats faily easy, you can do a super agressive roll then massive pull and clean it up with bondo/paint .
or do like this guy, just using as an example..this isn't the final look. In your case you would make the cuts near the bottom of the fender smaller till they dissapear, and clean it up with body work to smooth it out..

Here is another super simple one.. prob the cheapest and best bet.. and keeps stock body look:This guy cut out his one factory fender at the body line and spaced it out and molded it back on..
This one and the accord one are prob the simplest methods.Forum imageForum image
