Good Day.My name is Darren or better know as Mallo
So where to start, I've had a mixture of jobs but I've always been heavily involved with the custom car scene, 14 years this July. My biggest passion is the Volkswagen scene, which I love more and more as each year goes by. In 2010 I started to work for what was then one of the biggest magazines in the world Max Power, this was shortly after having my Mk4 Golf TDI featured, which was a real eye opener. After their closure in 2011 I went back to a normal day job while shooting for various Magazines across the UK and Europe. I then started to build a online magazine called Scene:Status, we had a great team and receiving around 275,000 visitors a month, but I started to become a royal arse hole and putting far to much pressure on myself and my friends, and so I had a brake down. So here I am now, after a chance to rest and reflect on life I have a new focus and aims.
I'm building two businesses, one is Revival Secrets which is an Interior Design business that specialises in the retro and vintage furniture, along with a bespoke craft man creating some amazing pieces from Pallet, sleepers and other reclaimed woods. This is a small family outfit including my mother and cousin and a secret passion I've kept hidden for many years.
The other is Zerone Media, so once again I'm focusing on my other passion, cars and photography. Scene Status never went the way I desired, so Zerone is 100% my own way, removing the focus of features and feature shoots, and creating a more focused life style. Zerone is my name reflecting a re brand, a fresh start 01, its a new beginning. I plan to cover a wide range across the globe and hope that in time we can offer commissioned work, but to start with its time for credit. As we are UK based we can cover Europe, along with Manila, the Philippines as half my family live there so another culture I wish to bring to the west.
No dead line, no stress, slick shooting, urban branding.
