Headlight Tint

Anyone have experience with headlight tint?  thoughts?  Thinking of doing my 97 Y33 headlights and fogs either blue or smoke. Prob blue b/c I don't want reduced light output.  I can't find a company that sells pre-cut film for y33s.  regular window film probably won't work, right?  wonder if this will get me pulled over

Companies do make headlight/taillight specific film. You should check with your state laws on this one. What color is the car? Blue won't work on all the colors...same goes for smoke. It will also depend on how light or dark you want the film to be.

looking at that website, wish they made a light blue or green kinda like the newer lexus had.....here in va u put that blue tint that they sell and u might as well just sit on the side of the road and wait for your ticket

I use it quite a bit.  The blue and yellow film wont hurt the light output much at all but the smoked films do.  Tail lights shine through it well but headlights don't.  It shouldn't be too hard to find the pre-cut kits.  The link posted above should have the kit your looking for.  They have a lot of kits that are not always listed.

I would think that any colored film covering the headlights will act as a filter and  reduce lumen output.

ok, but i think using normal tint film n warm it up with heat gun so as to fit the headlights would also work, doesn't need to be this brand ye?

what i would like is some really really light smoke tint or maybe blue.  I'm gonna call a few places and see if they have anything lighter.  I hate completely blacked out lights.  and i have a feeling that dark blue would get me a fix-it-ticket pretty quick

Using regular tint will work. I applied regular store bought automotive tint to my old Integra headlights back in 1992. It wasn't dark tint, just a light smoke. Either way, the tint lasted for years until I decided to remove it. Personally, I wouldn't recomend it now that I'm older, but they can look nice.

I bought a clear set for my headlights and fogs. They carry clear, blue, yellow, and smoke.

So you can wrap a headlight with window tint by using a hair dryer? and you won't have creases?
