Hello,My name is David, from chicago suburbs.
I had gotten a 1998 LS400 Atlantis Blue in mint interior and pretty beat up exterior on a trade for my salvaged stage 3 tuned Jetta MKIV. Id say it was a great swap since after owning the Jetta for mearly 4 months it was driven for a total of 4 weeks, the rest of the time it was on a lift or jackstands getting repaired.
Now enough of that POS.
I had always been intrigued by the Bipu style, since everyone in the city likes to dump their cars. After alot of video surfing i had seen this VIP styled scene based in japan using highly luxurious cars as a basis for the makeovers. Ofcourse these cars look much better and i guess you can say "professional" then a dumped Civic. My thing is, I'm on that track now where i am finding my career job and decided i would like my employers or even coworkers to not see me driving a childs toy (ie. a low miata track car which was my first car, loud tubo jetta, or even a stock mazda3) so im opting for this look since i
1. love the look
2. makes me feel and look much more "proffessional" (using loosely but you get my point on looking a bit more mature driving this type of car)
3. Powerful motor that still gives a bit of cars on the road a run for their money
4. Finally stick to a build and finish it through. (too many miata builds of mine had been lost dreams that i wish i fulfilled and the jetta was a dumb money pit of sh**)
So it is completely stock as of right now other than the sc430 wheels i had picked up for a STEAL!($220 for all 4 with regular wear no bends ect. plus i like the look of the wheels and hoping to stance it on these for a bit while still keeping an oem look.)
20% all around 65% front windshield.
I have Blizzaks on the stock wheels and im about to buy some rubber for the sc wheels soon, which ill need slight help on sizing.
I had also purchased H&R DRS Track+ 15mm spacers for the front so they will clear these obnoxious brakes.
I also pulled the trigger on BC Racing super low coilovers that should be coming in the mail in the next few weeks (had to be special made i guess..)
I will be trying to scavange the sale threads since i need a few parts for my exterior to not look like @$$. ie. headlights, corner lights, foglights, wood shifter maybe even wood stearingwheel.
