new girl here
Hi everyone. My name is Sammy and I am located in Charleston, SC.
I drive an 01 Lexus GS300. What got me into the VIP style was actually seeing a stunning blue GS in the SlammedSociety area of FDATL last year, along with seeing many cars at the car events-be it FormulaD, NOPI, ImportAlliance, and SouthernFresh. So i've decided that i want to slowly go in this direction with my own.
I haven't gotten much done to her yet and i want to take my time to make sure it's done right. no rush jobs. Advice and guidance would be great, since i'm new and don't fully know the ropes, though i do understand the concept from wasting all day at work researching and looking at everything (haha)
anyways here are a few pictures of my car how she sits right now... and remember i'm just starting!

Attachment 6084
tentative plans are to get the car painted matte white, and eventually i want a set of ordens. Torn between bags and static.
total newbie question here: decals. i've gotten mixed responses on whether a true VIPstyle car can have decals on it or not. and i'm not talking about random gaudy decals. i was considering putting on small, simple ones that represent the car groups i'm part of (like superior ladies car crew, slammed society, etc) and a sponsor sticker for my harness (tweak'd performance). they would all be the same uniform color to match the accent colors under the hood.
would that be a huge no-no? some people have said it's ok as long as it's tasteful and isn't like 20+ stickers. others say absolutely not: no stickers at all.
(until i save up for the Ordens, i will probably have a set of TE37s on her, and the color of the decals is also going to match the color of those wheels for the time that they are on the car.)

thanks! i was hesitant on ordens at first, but they grew on me and now i'm in love. Trying to keep her clean. definitely in amazing shape considering the mileage on her.
any decals that go on would only be car clubs/groups i'm part of and the one sponsor.
i like the idea of air because i know it would be a lot easier for me - let's face it, my work entrance&parking lot aren't exactly lower car friendly.

Sup mamasita, cool pickup. Keep us updated of what's going on. Pictures below are tastefully done and female owned. I think I seen too much Orden, I would just keep searching, you'll eventually pick up the style you want.

black GS in charleston...only two i know are Gabby and Wes (who also goes by John or Wesley). did it happen to be either one of those? just curious, haha
if it was Wed, i considered buying his air, but didn't have the funds at the time.
That's Wes's GS when he still had it bagged (if that's who you bought it from)

those are stupid clean. love it.
Yeah Ordens are super common, but they're the only ones i've really liked so far that fit the VIP look. My BF keeps suggesting a set of Weds, but i think those particular ones are hideous. and for some reason he thinks he has the final say in what gets put on my car? (that i personally paid cash for..). or he keeps suggesting ones that his friends have. and my thinking is "why would i want those wheels when someone who lives 10 minutes from me has those exact ones on his GS?"
you don't find many VIP cars in my area, i might as well do something that's me, not something that someone else here has. make sense?

I'm kind of in love witht eh Work Schwert SC2s.
I'm super picky about what's going to go on my car, which is a good, yet bad, thing. good because I don't want to only half do it and not make it look amazing. bad because it's going to take me forever to find what i want, haha.
and thank you :)

Keep the wheels you have until you can afford the wheels you want.
Don't waste your time and money on TE37. Unless you want a VIP race car?

That's what we've decided to do (keeping the current ones until i get the Works) as opposed to the latter. i just really really really don't like the wheels that are on the car now.
definitely not going for race car haha.
and thanks everyone! hopefully come march/april i'll have new suspension and wheels.
I've settled on the Work Schwert SC2s and i've decided to actually keep the car the Burnished Gold, as opposed to painting her white.
