00' LS400 build
Posted in vip101, was asked to post here..
Hey all, I am new to posting here and fairly new to the Vip scene. I figured I would start a build thread as I have a lot of plans for this car..
The plans include:
Either aggressive pull or radiused fenders
19x11 and 19x10 Work Euroline DH's
Raising the engine for oil pan clearance
repainting the car soon depending on quarter panel plans (color change to dark grey)
Hopefully some fancy Japanese aero eventually :)
This is as it sits now on the 19x9 and 19x10 Style 95 Bmw Wheels with 25mm adapters and 215/35 and 235/35 tires..
And here is a rolling video of it, don't mind the scuffed up camera :/

Quick shot of the interior with the Nardi and Black Wood trim..
Any criticism is welcome, but don't state the obvious, I know the wheels are played out and it needs paint lol
7/29/14-
So as an update, I've ordered a little something for the rear bumper. I'll post progress on the body work this weekend as well :)
12/22/14-
Update- Front Aero and Wheels on their way!
Front Aero- Damaged Aimgain
Wheels- Work Euroline 19x9 +16 19x10 +0
1/6/15
"Dialing in" Update:
Went for alignment after getting new tires on the sh**ty rep wheels and maxed out the stock arms. Was able to squeeze -7 rear and -4.5 front out of the stock camber adjustments. Definitely a rude awakening that I will need to modify or purchase some fuca's.

I'll sell these ones super cheap if you're interested in repairing one of them. I've already had one other one welded and bought a replacement...

I may very well be interested. There is a local dude that does mobile wheel repair too. I bet shipping would be quite a bit to get those cross country though.

Personal preference, but I don't like the steering wheel or rear diffuser. I think the wheels and Aimgain front are going to look killer though.

I'm actually still on the fence about it as well, I'm looking for a Jun kit Aimgain rear bumper that is kind of the same style just much more refined, obviously. As for the steering wheel, it fits the interior much better than my cracked wooden one did ;)

I think it would look good if maybe it was molded into the bumper somehow.

Maybe you should get a few of your own ideas? Kind of weird to straight up tell someone on their own thread that your going to copy them no ?
I like the idea of the rear bumper, but its too "rounded" mounted on the straight lines of the ls400. Cant wait to see those wheels mounted!

Maybe he just meant a diffuser in general.. Yea like I said previously, I'm still on the fence about it and I'm keeping an eye out for a replacement rear bumper.
Unfortunately the wheels did not make the container that will be arriving soon. The wheels are expected to be stateside around the beginning of March :(
But as an update: I went for an alignment the other day and maxed out the stock camber adjustments. The rear is sitting nice at -7 and we were able to squeeze -4.5 out of the front. Until I order fuca's or cut/weld the oem's, it'll have to do. (even though I hate mis-matched camber for the front/rear)
