what's the rule on dash covers/dash mats

I've seen a few online but none of them have the luxury feel I'm going for.  is there a rule for dashmats because I was thinking of making a custom dash out of some italian pig leather that's got floral designs for a more luxurious look.  if that's not vip though can someone point out a good quality dash cover idea to flesh out the interior besides just tossing a mat up on it that has a vip logo
