Black washer for Y33 rear Megan Coils

Hey guys, quick question. For all you guys that went with Megans for your Y33, did you guys use that black washer thing that comes zip tied to the rear coilovers? 

My bolt that mounts the lower end of the coilover is bent and I'm not sure if it had already been bent or it got bent because that washer thing didn't sit right when I was screwing the bolt back in. I just ordered a new bolt from Infiniti and thinking about not using that washer thing cause it looks so damn pointless...
