This forums has been dead for a while lets bring it back 

I see a bunch of forums with the " what did you buy today" thread, why not here? 

Anybody else into other hobbies besides Cars?? 
Model cars, computers, gaming, ect? or just any other thing we like to waste money on or want to waste on LOL

Nothing like a nice pair of shoes. But honestly it's very hard for me to buy like I used to with the car unfinished. I usually put the car 1st and justify my spending based on the car like if I'm gonna pay like 200 for some jays. I mine as well just not buy my jays and get my Mercedes mirrors for example.

Im the same way.I haven't modified a car in years tho.

I have just been wasting my money on my home theater :/

going out on the weekends; food, clubs/bars, daiko's (sorta like a taxi service here in japan but they drive your car home for you,, my wife's car that is :)

i sorta crunched some numbers the other day about how much money this costs ^ ^ ^ every month and i stopped right there.  i couldn't even bring myself to multiply it by 12 or even 10 cuz then i would just feel bad.

lets just say it would be in the nice new lexus car payment prices per month,, sadly...


but i have been real good about saving for my house and future aston martin though  :dance:

Sojah I know that all to well. Back in 2001 while stationed in Oki.  Used to club slum black mon, every 1st Tuesday Hinatama hall, Club slum ladies night Wednesday, club else's Thursday. B-green Friday. Tropical beach Saturday afternoon. Club slum Saturday night. Tropical beach Sunday or izakaya.  Left Oki in 2002 came back 2003-2004 stayed until 2007. So did saicolo, utopia and whatever gate to had to offer. I heard chatan and Naha are jumping now.

I spend most of my money on gaming. Building a new liquid cooled rig at the moment and I blow a lot on vaping too lol. More than I should.

Its crazy how something so simple like a 5-10 drink or smokes doesnt seem like much then you tally it up LOL 

My blu-ray collection has gone out of hand, I  did the math yesterday and was blown away with how much I have spent on them :/

dude tell me about it.  i know we crossed path at Smitty's or at a car meet or two but i always thought you looked familiar and now i would assume it was at a dancehall event in oki somewheres then.  i was here as active AF from 02-04 and frequented slum's, b greens, tropical beach about every weekend my last summer here, 3rd floor at Am. Village, Nangokunoyoru in Ginowan, Flex, Mari's Ace Bar, Mongoose, Pyramids (its a parking lot now), pretty much anywhere the dancehall events were being held at that particular night.

i don't frequent the dancehall's as much anymore, usually once a month now, but we still find our selves at cafe's/ happy hour dj spots, fancy restaurants, lounge's etc. just about every friday and saturday night.

chatan seawall area has a big amount of bars/small dance clubs at the moment but i had to stop going down there cuz of it being so much trouble in such a small area.  if you are looking to hook up with a 1 nighter, get into a brawl, or see who can out drink who then that is the spot to go.  it is also where all the all american badasses hang out at. i had a chaperone guided tour a few of the times we were making those rounds back like april- june of this year but it just seemed like drama always found us when we were there.  whether it be other guys buying my wife drinks, or other women buying me drinks and me having to explain why i then felt obligated to talk to them, or why every morning i had 3 new japanese girls as friends on FB, or being asked if i wanted the dude who just bought my wife a drink to be taken out back and shown the pavement a few times...   just unnecessary drama and a few next morning headaches.

i prefer reggae & dancehall music and any place that doesn't have an irie vibe to it i usually won't go back to.  i went to most of the new big clubs in naha but didn't think they were special at all.  saicolo's is a joke to me, but it doesn't stop some of my co-workers from going every weekend.  koza (gate 2 area) has died down a lot since there is still technically a curfew of midnight and no drinking for active duty.  some places out there are still nice to stop by but i've noticed that it is hit or miss and completely random.  all about who is having an event on what night and if it isn't an event then it is usually dead.   i have found a few nice reggae/dancehall chill spots in naha recently and tend to stay with that crowd when there.  man i love okinawa but it definitely eats away at your pocket book  ;)

Mr. J. Gotta get up on xbmc. I'll never buy a bluray.

I got my collection on XBMC and Media Browser 3. 
I mainly use xbmc for movies and windows media center for live tv and netflix.
This is my third htpc ive built :/ and its still not done, still need a graphic card and some water cooling stuff LOL.

I'm addicted to home theatre......what type of equipment are you running?  I just swapped out some of my gear with Emotiva components and they make a HUGE difference !!!

well unless you love to cook i'm just guessing off my household's tastes that the first was your pick and the second two were picked for you  :)

i somehow agreed to getting (even though i don't really recall it) the viking stuff (more than 1 item) in our next house, well this was before i saw the prices, now i've changed it to when i get my aston she will get her viking appliances...

I’m about to move into a new house and my plans are to go with a Wolf 48” range and a 72” Sub Zero or Thermadore setup.  I love my Viking stuff but I think you’d be better off with Wolf and SubZ/Thermadore.  I’ve had several issues with my 72” Viking refridge/freezer and if not for my extended warrantee where they actually had to replace my refridge, I’d be out another $15k to replace the fridge.

That’s a nice setup MR. J……maybe look at the Runco projectors?
 
Yes, that is the Emotiva XPA-5 running my B&W 703 main speakers, the B&W CDM CNT Center Channel, and the B&W LM-1 rear channels.  I also have an Emotiva UPA-200 running my B&W SCM-S surround channels with the Emotiva ERC-3 as the source and an Emotiva XDR-2 DAC which is hooked up to my iPad.  My main monitor is a Samsung UN75F7100AF with all components running through the Monster Power PRO 2500 for sources and monitor and the Monster Power HTS 3600 for all amplifiers.
 
I may upgrade later to a pair of XPR-1’s monoblocks to run my fronts and the XPR-5 for the remaining channels.  But that’s only when I upgrade my main speakers to B&W 802-Diamond D2’s.

Before the Benq I was thinking about getting the JVC DLA-RS48U as much as I love 4k resolution, Its too early to spend on it, plus I got the W1500 for really good price i couldnt pass up. Once this is "done" its onto a new bad habit.  

Ive been looking at Go-karts for my son. 
He has power wheels and Ive been thinking about lowering it. 
Gotta start them young.

I never got into the shoe game although apparently I have bought I guess rare shoes (I didnt know)  only to wear them and shoe heads would get mat at me over it lol

No clue, I dont have them anymore basically fell apart from wearing them, all I know they were nike's and some new balance shoeslol

i feel like as i get older i'm spending less of my disposable income on car mods, but overall more on each car i do do mods on...

wish my wife saw this as a good thing ;)
