q45 vs. q45T coilover Q&A

so when ordering coilovers for a 1998 Q45, what are the differences in the coilover design,? can people psot pics of both style?

also, what are all the companies that make coilovers for the q45/T?

because when i search, i find nothing.

Oh also, when people say y33, they are referring to the q45 or q45T? and ,is a 1997-1999 q45 a g50?

sorry for the newb-like questions

Y33 is the chassis code..hence ALL Q45's during those years (1997-2001). The G50 is the previous model like mine which was from 1990-1996 (90-93 & 94-96). There aren't many companies that make coilovers for those cars. My suggestion is to go with airsus..or at least untill then get some Tanabe S14 springs to bring it down a bit in the mean time while you save for air.

No yours is Y33. The F50 is 2002-present

Let me explain..your car is based off the Japan market Nissan Cima..not the Q45. The G50 Q45 was replaced in Japan by the F50 Q45/Cima in 2002..the Cima of your year is a lower line car that they used in the US to fill the gap of not importing the G50 further than 96'. They kept that until that chassis of Cima ended and the F50 Cima came out which shared the same chassis as the F50 President and US F50 Q45. The G50 President (same chassis as G50 Q) went all the way till 2001 when the F50 chassis was released for 2002.
