thought you guys might like it. the best part is that they are based off of 4300K HID's so they provide the same amount of light output as stock HID's.

interesting any cutoff pictures? also what brand are they?

no cutoff pictures. they are stock halogen projectors. the cutoff is normal i guess... no color change or anything like that. no glare if thats what you are wondering.

they are a no name brand that i got from a vendor on honda-tech.com. they were either $60 or $70 a pair (just the bulbs).

Green, pink, and the mauve are a few of the colors besides the normal kelvin range.  I'll have to take some pics later.  I run greens also..but I normally run 10000K headlight and 3000K fogs.  I might bring in some of the pink and mauves for fun..haha. :thumbsup:

They are not the same as 4300K, but actually close to the same as 6000K which isn't bad.  I think he's thinking that since that's what he previously had but the ballasts don't create the light output..here's a Lumen breakdown:
3,000 K  	3,200 lm
5,000 K 	3,200 lm
6,000 K 	2,800 lm
8,000 K 	2,400 lm
10,000 K        1,800 lm
12,000 K 	1,800 lm
The mauve and pink also have the same lumen (around 2600-2800) like the green.  The Kelvin rating is similar to the 6000K though, but these are figures for kits I have. Some of the Korean ones (Mine are German) list as 3200 Lumen and say same as 3000K.

i know... i had 8000K before and had no problems. these are more eye-catching, but like above, i havent had any problems yet :thumbsup:

i was told they were rated the same as stock. i can honestly see a bit more with these than i could with the 8000k's... so for me, its perfect.

i know a little bit about how HID's and how they work. i KNOW the ballast doesnt make a difference and i also know that the higher in rating, the lower in lumens. the only way the ballast will make a difference is if i move up to a 55w ballast... which may be in the future :thumbsup:

What color temp are the green and pink, exactly? I learned in my lighting class (at least I think I did) that the higher the color temp, the less light output...I'm assuming these crazy colored bulbs are above 12k???

No they are closer to 6000K.  Yes, the higher the rating the less light output overall, but some temps have advantages that "brighter" ones do not such as 10000K which gives off a black light effect to anything white or yellow and makes them glow for miles.  I speak that from experience, not just hearsay.
