anyone know how to access the bi-level door actuator without removing the dash? also is there any other nissan models that have interchangable door actuators for the heater doors? iv research and found that other nissan models do in fact have the same problems with their heater door actuators. as you may know infiniti doesnt sell these anymore under the q45 part number but may under a different number. please help !

There is one by the accel pedal. I can't remember which one that is. You can also run a diagnostic check on the HVAC unit itself which diagnoses sensors, door motors, blower motor and multiplex communication errors and gives error codes. Have you tried running that yet? If you have the FSM it provides a diagnostic tree for the test functions, it is page 29 in the Heating and A/C section.

yea did all that already codes 26 & 27 . both bi-level and intake door actuators need to be replaced.

Finally got around to it now that the weather is getting cold. It's actually really easy to access . Do not need to remove dash just start by removing glove box the airbag held in by 4 bolts. Pops right out then you'll have access to actuator above the heater unit and the actuator right behind the glove box. You can get used ones from a junk yard or just zip tie the heater door in the opposite direction to get heat. Took me 15 minutes.

If u zip tie it open does that mean you won't get cold air then since it's constantly locked in one position? I have this same issue too and it didn't really bother me until recently since defrosting my windshield is a bitch with no heat

Yup. Gotta remove the airbag 4 black bolts underneath the bag after u remove the glove box. Not the torx bolts. Bi level motor is the top left one looking directly into the passenger side opening (error code -27/27). U could replace it or just zip tie it open like this. Works fine anyway.
