BULLRUN Rally...wish me luck!

Well, as of this morning Ive got a REALLY good shot at participating in this years BullRun. I will find out very soon if Im the last car selected to run this year. 

R'now, Its down to 6 cars, Including myself and the Lexus.  

Please keep your fingers crossed for me..or say a lil prayer...and even more prayers if I AM selected .

Ive got other cars that would do a little better, but thats the one that the producers and event organizers based their decision on.

This whole thing caught me by complete surprise....the car needs so much 'work' to make a cross country trip :(

- My new engine has just arrived at a UPS terminal here in Washigton state this morning. It should be at the house tomorrow at the latest. I did purchase it in case I won the contest (after hearing I was a finalist) and will be having a single turbo upgrade sent this week....even I had no previous plans to mod this car any further  :(

The reason for the new engine is because my rear mount produces a lot of heat after running a few hours. Its actually mounted in the spare tire well and not the stock muffler location where it should be.  it heats up my amps and cuts off the music....cant have that!! and even at 300+ hp, its still underpowered compared to the rest of the cars.

-Ill be using a lot of parts from the old setup in an attempt to build a 450-500hp car in a couple days to compete against LAMBORGHINIS, FERRARI ,BUGATTI and other exotics  

- Even after all this, I'll still have the lowest cost/HP car of the bunch  But Im pretty sure I can out drive Paris  

- I dont think I'll be able to switch to a VIP styled rim...the engine and upgrades were really unexpected costs :(  BUT, Since I wont have that hot pipe running thru the wheel well, Ill be able to use spacers on the front rims!!  

There are other GREAT cars that are up for the spot...not a bad choice in the bunch. If I dont win, Im just happy that I was in the running.

Any update?
The Bullrun starts this weekend.

No update....

 2 of the other finalist sent me messages asking if I had won over the weekend...but I havent heard anything 'official'.  It will be too late for me in a day or so, even if I do win.   :(

I'm in Seattle and would need 4 days just to ge tthe car there..that would get me there the night before the race starts...then 4 more days to Key west, Fla from Montreal

did you put your engine in yet? or is that after the bull run?

It ended up coming a couple days later than scheduled with now time to get it in 'properly'...But its here :) 


 I dont think I won the BullRun spot...none of the other finalist have heard anything either, so the engine will probably go in after this weekend.

They just announced the winner this evening......

I had NO chance of making it, (even if I did win) because I live in Seattle and the race starts this weekend on the East coast...in Canada. :(
