Y33 From Oahu Hawaii

What's up peeps! The names Sean aka SPhoto aka @sphotohi and what I brought to the boards is my 2nd Y33 that I recently picked up for a sweet deal. It's hella clean interior wise but the outside I would rate an 8/10. ~57k miles on the odometer and the car has been kept in tip top shape in general. The biggest plus would have to be the suspension. Bought this with full megans. Saves me time and money! First one that I owned was considered totaled due to an idiot (most likely) on his phone while driving who ended up hitting my driver side. After that I picked up a 95 ls400 from a family member who had been in the process of bagging it. I got that one for a good deal as well AND with the half installed bags (the bags were the last thing that needed to go on). The LS was also considered totaled when another idiot reversed into (again) my drivers side as you can see below. I was pretty bummed but a little joyed at the same time knowing i'd be on the hunt for another car again. I looked on CL and came across a 97 Q45 being for sale in a city near mine, so as I'm typing the dudes number in my phone to text him, a name pops up! I remember the dude immediately because that's who I had purchased my AME ax's from a couple years back. Long story short, here is my 1997 Q45 as of today.

This is how it sits at of today.

Took it for an oil change today and will be getting the P/S, AC, waterpump belts done soon as well.

Thanks MR.J! Gonna be bringing it in first thing in the morning to get the rear brakes changed and the P/S, AC, & water pump belts replaced then it should be running in top shape. After that, gonna be throwing some daily wheels on, slamming it, then getting an alignment done all on saturday (or at least I'll try to squeeze all that in one day). Will try and take better photos tomorrow like I said I would lol

Man I've been slacking on the pics. But I finally found the time to do so! Since picking up the car, I've gotten an oil change, replaced rear brake pads and resurfaced the rotors, and got the belts under the hood replaced. I was also able to slam the car yesterday, which took me about 6 hours to do because the damn coil overs were so hard to spin lol. Currently on megans. But here's how the car looks as of today 8.2.15. I would've had my wheels (ame ax's) on as well but one of'em had a bend so I took it to the shop to get it straightened out. Pics with the wheels on hopefully by this thursday or friday.

Here's a few photos pre-slam

A rear shot of 75% done with the slamming. Just had the passenger rear to do

And here is the post slam photos. I'm literally 2" from the ground, well the exhaust is. I maxed out the coilovers both front and back too but I'm pretty sure I can get it lower. I'll see when I get my bent wheel fixed and have my wheels on. I'll probably bust out my canon and take some real photos. Stay tuned!

The homie stopped by to see the progress and snapped this before driving away.

So today, or should I say yesterday 8.3.15 (because right now its 8.4.15 2:08 AM Hawaii time), I got up bright and early to pick up some hid's for the headlights and ballasts for the fogs. I had some time to install the fogs before work but once I got done I didn't have time to get the headlights installed until after work.

Here's a before shot of the halogen lights

I was able to get some photos taken of more progress on the car. Recently, I've put on 20mm spacers both front & rear for my wheels to fit (i have ame ax's 19's). Before the spacers, my front wheels were flush up against the suspension, making the wheels unable to actually rotate and the rear wheels were hitting some metal part in the wheel well causing some shaving to the lips of the backside of the wheels! These 20mm spacers did the job though! Bought locally from the man himself, Samson, at Revision Audio, here on the island, your one stop vip shop.

Here's a photo with the spacer on the rear.

This day, I had actually brought my car to get the alignment done, but ended up wasting 2 hours of my day only to find out that I need to replace the strud rod bushings. Snapped this before they put it on the rack.

When I got home from the alignment shop, I figured what the hell, take a rear shot too.

I'll be getting the strud rod bushings replaced and then bringing it back to get alignment, hopefully soon! In the mean time, this is all for now.
