good lookin car and good luck with sale but i think 30k is way too high for that car. i really don't see anyone coming along and saying i've always wanted an already complete LS430 for 30k.

i think if you sell the BBK, wheels, and air seperate that you could prolly score like $8k from that. then sell the car for like $15k minus those. that is the only way i see you getting over $20-22k for this car.

just being a realist...

It sucks to see a well built 430 like this not sell quick. I'm putting mine on the market after paint but this is so discouraging.

Thanks guys. Looking at different options right now. I didn't really push for the sale cause I wanted to find a really good reason to keep it. But I am just missing the fast car, coupe life.

20k w/o wheels and brakes

Willing to remove more parts to bring the car cost down.

have you listed this for sale anywhere else? I know on in the dc area I bought and sold a few cars on autotrader.com and in fact that is where I sold my slightly modded LS430UL actually (coilovers, wheels, stereo, window visors, lights, etc...).

just my opinion but I don't think I would list every mod on there, maybe just the big stuff and only briefly, like 'full body kit, air suspension, custom wheels, stereo, etc...' then just include a bunch of really nice looking pictures. the people who usually called and came to look at the car were mild car enthusiasts and wanted a good looking lightly modded car but didn't really want to pay more for these mods.

for autotrader you have to pay to run the ad but in the past I have sold all 5 or 6 cars I've listed on there so it was a small price to pay for me. another thing I have always done is searched for my specific car before picking a selling price. I didn't care about Kelly blue book and well I just don't care what it or anyone says, something is only worth what others are willing to pay so I usually look to see what very similar cars are selling for. so I would do a search on autotrader for all 04-06 LS430's and look at mileage at or over 100k miles. get a good sense for what the average selling price is of the good looking clean ones for sale then price your's where you are comfortable. I wouldn't look at the highest and lowest ones listed on AT but try to look at where most of them are priced. I then priced mine towards the top and made a point of describing it as the flagship with the top UL package and all the extras. then wait a week and see what the interest is, if it is little to no interest then drop it $500 bucks.

also I always priced mine with a 999 so if someone searched for all cars under 20k mine priced at 19,999 would show up. I put stock wheels back on my 2GS before I sold it on AT also. both serious buyers at that time were trying to negotiate some off the price like everyone tries to do so I basically was saying I will take off $1000 but stock wheels are going back on. we were both happy with the outcome and I sold the wheels for like $2200 anyways so I was definitely more happy.

sorry forgot to mention the most important part. make sure you search for 04-06 LS430's is within your commuting area, so like within 50 miles of your zip code, this will give you a realistic figure for what a selling price is if you wanted to move it in a reasonable amount of time.
