#517796W140 VIP Style Build
I am new to the benz and VIP scene but it is something I been wanting to do for a long time. I can remember how much of a status symbol the W140 was in my childhood. You know a family had loads of cash if they owned one! There could never be any other car I would want to VIP other than the OG big body W140 S class. This was an idea I had lurking in the back of my mind but I never got around to building it because I'm into go fast cars first and foremost. However, I do respect and love cars that go low and slow, such as lowriders and big body VIP cars. I planned on building up my dream VIP car after I was done with my RX7 FC. I would rather own a W140 over a newer S Class being that they are everywhere, super cheap, and seriously pimpish! I've had talks with certifiable euro techs and they all praised the W140 as being the last S Class that was built for men. It was a definite plan for the future. But one day, I was sharing the idea with a good homie and he said that he wanted to pursue the project. Not only that, he wanted to start right away! I was eager to help him out because I get to see my dream turn into reality. Since I been planning this project out for a while, the foundation was already set. We picked up a W140 that week and begin to get started with 'Project VIP W140'Here is the car as picked up
We got the car for a great price but had to repair a couple of things before moving on to the modding process. Here's a list of things we got out the way:
*Replaced all brake pads and rotors
*Replaced broken odometer gears
*Replaced broken drivers side window regulator
*Replaced cabin and engine air filter
*Replaced all spark plugs
*Flushed out all old fluids and replaced with new
The car runs STRONG and is super comfortable. What a difference it is to ride around in a big body sedan! We were able to fit 6 foot doods in the back with no issues at all. Now on to the fun stuff. We are going with a full Accuair dual pump system with custom brackets. Extreme Dimensions W1 body kit, 2002 e320 foglights, Magnaflow 3" straight pipe exhaust, and replacing old exterior parts (headlights, taillights, grill, flat hood emblem).
We are set on running 20" Superstar Gemut wheels but will be running on some beater dubs in the meantime. We sourced all the parts for my homie except the wheels because we will need more time to decide what sizing we want to go with. We are all super excited for this project and I'll keep you guys posted on it's progress. Stay tuned!
