GS fitment question...

Well, Since I don't have either the car OR the wheels yet, I figured I'd ask you guys.

The car is a '93 GS300, stock body.

The wheels are:

18x10 -4 front
18x11.5 -14 rear 

Tires would be 245 front and 265 rear, more than likely. 

Any ideas on what is needed to make these fit?

In reality, it will take some work. Anyone still have a picture of the black first gen aristo that was discussed on here a while back. Dom did some research and found the specs out for us... That may help.

Haha yea, I'm counting on a good amount of rolling and pulling. I'd like to get away with less camber this time.

i have a bagged 93 gs, and considered running a setup like you mention, but i drove w/ 10" wide wheels all around and hated how it drove. as for 11.5 in the back, it will take some work...and would work much better with airride.

I'd like to see 265 on 11.5 I will be doing that size next time around on 19x11.5

I think your gonna need a lot of camber unless you do some custom widened fenders or flip the fender lips ala viplife

Why did you hate how it drove? My roomates R33 has 19x10's all around and it drives great. I'm also confused why you think it would work better with air ride?

Hmmm.. Here's kinda what i've thrown togeather just off a whim. I've taken no measurements what so ever... so uhh this is all a guess. Hopefully someone with more experience with GS's could chime in :)

-4 camber, 265/35, and a completely flat roll with maybe a 5-8mm pull. 

Again this is just me speculating.. I have no solid numbers.

steered like a hay wagon hahah...im picky tho. it wasnt thattt bad. itd work better w/ air for 11.5's because of the camber you can get when slammed.

According to Daizen and my experence with my SC,

1 deg of negative camber = 2.5 mm that the top of the wheel is brought in towards the fender

Unless GS fenders are reaally wide, prepare for a lot of body work!

Get some measurements yo!  Or perhaps there is more info on CL about the measurements from Romini (sp?)

You say 18's thats simple I have 19's and am going 20's thats why I made the fender flares. Depending on your offset I dont see any problrm with 18's on a first gen. I have a customer I imported a GS 430 for here he's running 19's 235 and 245 on coils and they are right on the edge of the fender. There are a few second gens running 22's here they had to modify the fenders becouse the offsets needed to turn the wheel with out banging on the inner fender wells. Next time the 430 rolls up Ill get pix

The problem is not the diameter.

The problem is a combination of width, offset, and retaining stock fenders

Crazy... I'm running 19X8.5 +23 offset and 19X10 with +15 offset. I had to roll and pull the rear fenders out a bit. I would say that you pull your front and rear fender out, then get a smaller tire. After that you would have to either lower the car with coilovers or camber out your rears.

Would you mind throwing up some fitment pictures front and rear? 

18x10 -4 front
18x11.5 -14 rear 

Quite a bit of flaring needed, esp on a Toyota vehicle
