I was browseing through Ebay and found the Junction Produce / Falken Ls400
up for auction.

Wow if that sell is legit, that is one HELL of a steal!

Weird, it's really poorly written for what you'd think is an official sale

it's also at a 9k starting, with reserve not met. probably want's like 20k+

Does this mean Falken has given up on the Vip style since they are selling one of the show cars. The trunk set up looks very messy for a show car.

ALSO, after reviewing the pictures on the auction site, there is absolutely nothing done to the interior.  This is a crime for a car such as this!

if it were possible to buy that car for $10k, then i'd buy a hundred of them.   starting price with reserve not met on ebay, means there is a long way to go on that car before someone can actually buy it.

the vehicle belongs to a guy named Gin if i'm correct, and his english isn't exactly that great...

that is pretty nice!  I would like to see how the worksmanship is on the car up close.

if you look closely, you can see stress cracks in the seats plus the stains in the carpet.

my point was that the interior was left bone stock and for an LS such as that, the owner(s) should have gone all out on the interior too.

I think Falken realizes that they cannot base an entire tire line and market it just to traditional VIP platforms.  They have diversed and broadened the VIP style to include other platforms.  The traditionalists will not be happy, but so be it.  From a manufacturers perspective, the bottom line......is the bottom line.  It makes good marketing and business sense not to limit yourself on a product that has a very wide application base.

I don't think Falken had much to do with how the car looked....they just sponsored it for the tires.  This year, Falken sponsored TWC cars exclusively, which have a lot of Euros.  Give up....no.....expanded.....yes.

I suppose he might get it, but I've seen the car and in my opinion it wasn't that clean. Of course, my standards are whacked.

I recently turned-down $30K for my 2000 GS... of course, it's got a $10K paint job on it, and it's disturbingly clean. Some people think I was crazy, but I own the car outright, enjoy it, and could not replace it for $30K cash.
