Low disk? I don't know what a low dish is? Any way low disk(h) changes your reference point for offset. so you can have fairly high off set wheel but twith a low disk will give you more lip.

so if a 19.8.5 +38 fits
what is the offset of the 19x10? if it is the same then your wheel extends out 19mm

Any of this make sense?

Im not entirely following here. With the low disk work wheel, if we are looking at a 19x8.5 45 offset wheel and a 19x8.5 45 offset low disk wheel what is the difference?

I see they make a high disk wheel as well. Is this suitable for .. lets say a 6 piston caliper upgrade or brake fitment with the inside of the front wheel?

Im not entirely following here. With the low disk work wheel, if we are looking at a 19x8.5 45 offset wheel and a 19x8.5 45 offset low disk wheel what is the difference?

High dish(k) is what you want for big brake kits, so that would be the case if you have 6 piston or big brakes.

let's put it this way. A wheel with low disk wheel have more lip than a wheel with a high disk if the offsets are the same. But the low disk wheel not clear big brakes.

EDIT: wheel design obviously plays a factor.

I am using NSX calipers with a larger rotor upgrade. Eventhough the caliper cleared my stock wheel before i shimmed it out to accomidate larger rotors, id prolly be better off using these 0 disk centers for the rear since i have at least 3 inches back there. Then worring about the fronts based on my clearance when i test fit the 0 disk on the front.

If i have room, i can just use another 0 disk pair for the front but id assume ill have to use higher disk centers..


What i meant, is you said 19mm. Is that figure how much additional the center of the wheel moves in? Meaning.. Since the pad of the wheel is (19mm?) thinner, does that mean lets say i had a 40 offset rim, and i used the low disk center, would it be a 21 offset?

I guess I just am misunderstanding the 19mm figure..

Ive picked out wheel setups for road race cars many a time, its just this 0 disk to high disk figure seems to put the entire offset in question.. Like if i take a 45mm offset barrel off a 0 disk center, bolt it onto a high disk center, its no longer a 45mm offset right?

Right your off set is going to change. offset is measured from the center of the barrel to the mounting surface of the disk.


8.5=about 216mm
now to find the difference you take the full width in mm (216) and dived it by 2
so with an offset of +38
you get 108 front and back. now with a +38 offset it will move the mating surface 38mm fwd. so subtract 38mm from the front and at it to the rear.
146 mm to the rear and 70mm to the front

10in = 254 with a +38 offset

165mm to the rear 89mm to the front.

the difference is 89-70=19mm extended in the front by going from 8.5(70mm) to 10in(89mm) with same offset.

make sense?

YOu can use the same calculation for any setup this wheel on tell you much the wheels moves with different widths and offsets. the high disk low disk basically just allows you to get more lip.

So people who don't want to run extremely wide wheels or don't have clearance for wide wheels can buy a low disk opyion to give more lip. hard to explain with out visual aids.....lol

Disk won't change your fitment, except for in the domain of brake clearance. What changes is the thickness of the mounting..well, disk. The actual mounting surface will still be at the same relative position within the wheel.

+30mm offset slo-disk will have same fitment as +30mm hi-disk (mounting surface 30mm out from the centerline), but will have more lip.
