Removing "Q45" trunk emblem

Whats the technique? Also are there holes or anything after you remove the emblem?

Dude I am glad you posted this becuase I learned the hard way. 
The eblem has two allignment pins that go into the whole on the trunk..
IF you are not careful whil removing it you will crack and peel of your pain like I did to mine and I had to get the whole spoiler repainted..

I sugggets getting a heat gun or a blow dryer.. Heat it the 3m tape underneath the emblem and take your time getting it off. Because these cars are older the paint is less forgiving...

You will be left with two ugly wholes..stick  another emblem in place of have it filled and painted..

i just used goo gone and floss to take of the emblem on my g50. there were no holes after i removed the emblem.

same here, i just used dental floss with WD-40 and it came right off. no holes on my 97 Y33.

Maybe I have whole becuase I have a spoiler and the emblem is not flat it is curved to match the shape of the spoiler...hhmm dont know...but thats coool

The Q45 emblem has no holes.  The infiniti badge has two holes, if you use the JDM nissan badge it covers the holes..  Use a thick dental floss or fishing line and youll be fine.   I did mine with no problems.  Came out sweet.

If you do happen to leave some sticky residue behind, a rubber wheel will take it off in no time.

I took mine off with dental floss kinda sawed it back and forth and Goof Off; it took it right off and looks awesome.

But, if your paint isn't in great condition or old some paint might come with and it'll look horrible.

My bad my bad,,for some reason I assumed the Infiniti Emblem..not the Q45...dont know why I read it like that...but I did the same thing..heat gun, fishing line and 3m adhesive remover...

Anyone knows if there's holes behind the infinity emblem on a F50?

I got the Q off....that goo is hard to get off.....I used fishing line and GOO gone....peep the avatar.

So lets clear this up.

On the 98 Q45t Models.

The Q45t has NO HOLES.

The infiniti oval emblem has NO HOLES?

And the I N F I N I T I has NO HOLES.


BUT

The 00+

(I N F I N I T I) bar above the license plates HAS HOLES.

Other then that, the other emblems in the 00+ models has no holes just like the 99-.

I'm thinkin he might put a .45 strap emblem on the back. The gun itself. Revolver or a pistol or somethin.. He already has .45 on it.. that shit is gangsta

No Holes on the F50 trunk

I just took off the Q45t emblem, it was super easy. Only took me 2mins maxed. But getting the leftover glue and crap is a bitch.

and for us [B]g50[/B] owners.....[B]Q45T DOES NOT HAVE HOLES...THE INFINITI EMBLEM HAS HOLES..YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE CENTER LIGHT TO GET THE 2 SCREWS OFF BEFORE REMOVING IT.[/B]

G50 = 90-96 q45

Y33 = 97-01 Q45
