ehh new to VIP

buying a 95 q45 tonight and the active suspension leaks. iv heard skyline suspension fits but what do i need to do to disable the active sht?

pull out the fuse under the hood.

how does the active work?

dont know dont have it, My Q did not come with it. The only thing I could think it would be similar to the damping adjustments in the newer Q's..or somehow controls body roll...your guess is as good as mine..Im just an artist..haha hee hee..

if its leaking you are in big trouble.  if you arent a diy, hands-on guy, the cost to replace the active will probably exceed the value of your car.

eliminating active sus means removing the struts/fittings, and plugging the system.

iirc the pump branches from the steering system.  correct me if im wrong, active guys.

ya i want to just rip it out and got tokico and tanabe springs cause i dont care for that active stuff.

yah unfortunately it's not that easy on the q45a... susp hydraulic system is integrated with the power steering, and hicas. It's a whole mess that you can't just simply remove and plug up... honestly, it's best to get a non-active car.

im curious to know how its tied into my power stearing when it uses different fluid (green) either way is it possible to rip the whole system out?

IT IS POSSIBLE, but you'll have to figure out a way to keep the power steering fluid in the steering rack, you'll need to bypass all the extra stuff and run some lines into the rack so that you'll still have power steering. if you just plug the lines going to the active system, then the power steering fluid won't circulate properly and you'll have no PS. at least that's what it looks like to me...
