FWD 5 -114.3 bolt patterns - largest width/lip wheels?
Been searching and trolling boards for a while now, just having a hard time finding any FWD wheels that are VIP style. Seems like the FWD cuts down alot on the big lips and low offset style wheels. Would really appreciate anyone pointing me in a direction, thanks ahead of time guys.

You need to search for a wheel design such as the Fabulous Expand that has a "reverse-in" spoke design. This is where the spokes protrude out from the mounting pint and then swoop back in. It's all about clearing your brake calipers since those cars run high offsets. Here's what I mean (obviously you won't have dish like that, but it's just to show you the spoke design and how it will benefit the look you want to achieve):

Check out the link. These wheels have the most lip that I've seen on a fwd car.

I had PIAA Rozza's on my Legend and it gave me a 2" lip.....with a +45 offset. They were high disk too in order to accomodate BBK's. Spoke design makes a big difference...

if you want lip.. i hope you understand that low disc.
or rims like ame, exe and stuff like thatt have faces that
curve all kinds.. some people can't stand that kind of look,
but it does give you "more" lip. if your only concern is
maximum lip and curve faces don't bother you, i guess
go for exxe or whatever or perhaps those ame's. as well
as work's and run low disc in front and super low disc in back(w).
in case you don't know what i mean by curved face..
look at this wheel:
and compare it to this wheel..
i hope you notice the curve in the face.. its like a "fake lip". it curves back all kinds just
to give you lip, but when you look at the wheel itself, u can tell its how as "crazy" as it really
should be if the face was straight.
and i think it makes a big ass difference, look at these photos..
im not bashing on anyones car, im just trying to point out the curve of the face.
i think a lot of times, people get obessed with "how much lip". but some applications, the face
curves too much and it takes away from the wheels..

to add:
true lip is measured from the portion of the wheel furthest out, to the edge of the wheel. fake lip/cheater lip/false lip, while giving the appearance of more lip, isn't more lip. if that were the case, then most "dub" rides have a huge amount of lip...
while not wheels with huge lips, these pics are to illustrate the point of fake lip versus real lip:
more about the face of the wheel
part of your search has to be to shy away from the specs that most tire shops/websites are going to give you for your car. depending which car you have, you may be able to fit the wheel of your desire on your ride. remember, all those xb's/bb's are fwd, and they seem to be able to find wheels that fit.

the wheel is arthur exchange style lk, the spoke curve less than ame so there is less lip.
our wheel fitment sucks, stock is 17x6.5 et55. i pretty much tried most vip style wheels from lock swice, fabulous, work, ame, zauber etc. the ame cx, work euroline kh and euroline s2h because of the spoke design they will have the most lip.

a local newspaper did a feature on my car, since i am a dealer for jp so i toss everything inside to get some free advertising.

vip style isent just big lip and stoopified offset. you can still get a big faced wheel with the properflush fitment for the vip look.
yummy endless brake set up :)

So if you run high or med disk wheel that bows to accommodate a BBK, you consider that a fake lip? So would it be better to run a higher offset flat faced wheel with a thicker back pad and a small “true” lip than a bowed “fake” lip? Also, wheels like the Advan Sienna Gen II must be a "really fake" lip because it has the riveted area sunken way back in the hoop.

Yea, I think Advan Sienna Gen II has a really "fake" lip because the spokes bow out alot.
Example:
http://www.wheelsworld.com/4886-1994-Honda-Accord-Advan-Siena-Generation-II.html
I think what people want to see to show true aggressiveness is to have "deep dish". Wheels with really bowed spokes to have a big lip effect won't have the deep dish look because the spokes stick out too much.
