JIC

Ok, so after some time, I finally saved enough money to buy my first set of coilovers.  I drive a 2003 Infiniti G35, needless to say, the car has been through a lot and I basically had the car back to stock after modifying it for the past 3-4 years.  I'm going with a different look and feel this time around and the first step was to purchase the best (or one of the best) coilovers that I could get.  With help from the awesome guys at JIC (shout out to Paul), and gracious assistance of Maverick Motorsports (who goes out of their way, to open up shop on Sunday and install coilovers???  thanks again, teddy!)  

As far as pictures, I deem the car *under construction* and will not make any public appearance til my wheels come in.  My car is not vip, but like many others on this site, I derive inspiration from the og-yakuza style and am really looking forward to how this car will turn out.  My goal is to create a car that embodies not only traditional vip styling but retro styling as well.  Wish me luck!  Hopefully you purist, don't rip me a new one, once I finally decide to post pics.

The JIC Coils handle awesome!  I highly recommend them!

Just pray you don't have to have them rebuilt any time soon. Maybe only those who use them for performance have the valve failure problems i don't know but i hear they go in for rebuilds quite often.

I hear alot of **** talking about JICs, but never first hand.  Anyone have actual first hand knowledge of JIC problems or failures?  links??

I have a coupe, siknlow's is a sedan.  His car is pretty phat!

I chose JIC, because some of the reputable tuners I've gotten to know swear by them.  It must mean something if these guys are building super cars and are running on the same types of suspension.

yeah. 
i bought a set
worked great for about 8 months
then the rear left blew out
and i threw them away

Not neccessarily **** talking, These personal friends i speak with regularly who have had these problems. not to mention one guy is a formula d competitor.

So I called JIC and inquired about servicing coilovers.  The rep told me that he recommends that the kit be "serviced" every 2 years.  Yes, it may sound like a hastle, but if I paid this much for coilovers, I'm definitely gonna maintain them so that they are always functioning to the way I want them.  

Yokotas13, I'm sorry to hear about your loss after just 8 months (which sounds crazy, I would have demanded some type of restitution).  Either way, I love my suspension and it always helps knowing one of the guys at JIC.  

As far as performance of the coils, if you've been following the Time Attacks, D1, Formula D, etc. you will see that TEAM JIC is at the top or in the top 5 at almost every event this year!  From what I hear, they are spending more time on R&D to perfect their system.
