Yeah it looks like they may have custom fitted the benz hood.

On Yahoo Japan as well as ebay, they sell the ducts from the SL hood.  Ive seen the same hood on a Y33.  This has to be the sickest GS I had ever seen though.

Edit, I just noticed the lines of the hood.  It may be a SL hood modded to fit.

yea, well i dont give as much of a crap about the "vents" as i do the general shape of the hood itself.  those lines are exactly what lexus should have done to begin with.  it looks so damn perfect!

i was sad when the month changed and i had to switch to the next page hehe..thats the car that made me want the ordens..those rims are black now i believe..sick car

with everything else chrome, that grille looks out of place...other than the color, and that grille, the car is very nice.

I have been trying to find some of those vents to do a custom hood for a while.  Anyone got a link to those i am to the point of hitting up every local junkyard.

Those lines in the hood are just perfect for the GS.  Wish i had the time and energy to build a hood like that, getting older and having a career do have downsides :P.

I also like that the lower half of the chrome handles have been painted.

If you scan the spec sheet i could tell you for sure, but i am pretty certain its an IMC hood - they do hoods like that for a bunch of cars

VeilSide offers a hood just like that, but with a reverse vent. Close up the vent and you've got the same thing.

and i must say, VeilSide fits like a glove! superb fitment on the jaguar s-type...

so is it IMC or Veilside???

Gato, it appears to be a veilside hood with the reverse scoop deleated and SL hood vents added.

red gs has been a featured car in the vip style of july 07..

I wonder why I never saw this thread. I  really like that hood.  I gotta check the July Issue of VIP Style and take a closer look at it.
