Liscence Plate Base

Anyone know where I can pick up one of these or something similar without giving JP $280.00 for a piece of plastic?

Re: Liscence Plate Base

most of the oem ones look like crap

I would suggest making one for your application. It will be a lot cheaper than buying JP.

I'm going to make one because my oem one is not very nice.

Re: Liscence Plate Base

If anybody is still looking for slanted licence plate, I bought one here for $45 http://www.sigmaautomotive.com/SeikoSangyo/brackets.php. You have to mod it al ittle to fit a US plate. I also reshaped the back of the base to fit the contour of my bumper.I'll take some pics later. I got the plastic base.

There is also the ones we used to use to avoid getting nailed by the cameras on the expressway..they have a hinged spring that allows the plate to lay horizontal at speed due to wind pushing it. Then when you slow down or stop it is in the normal vertical position. Autobacs, Yellowhat, Autotech, and Cockpit all sell those kinds of brackets.
