93 Lexus GS300 EXhaust

Im new to tha game as far as VIP goes just got a 93 GS300. I woul like to make a custom exhaust. Does it need all 4 mufflers or can bypass the first set? Will it effect performance and will be legal to drive if I do so?Thanks- (arigatou)

1. no you don't need all four mufflers although i think two of them you mite be confusing for cat's, (someone will correct me if i'm wrong) oh and i'm sure most people here will agree with me i think., that dual exhaust on a gs300 looks the best.

2. it should increase the performance a little.

3. check your state laws, but that dosen't stop the peeps in japan ;)

peace

There are 4 Mufflers, 2 per side... and to answer your question, yes it will be louder.

My dad drives an Acura TL A-spec and he removed the rear muffler before the exit and also has a test pipe... the car isn't ridiculously loud, but its noticable, especially with an intake.

Performance wise, you'll notice maybe a tiny bit.

Legal? Keep the cat and I doubt you'll have any problems with the law.

If you get rid of the first set of resonators and just run the mufflers it will have a slight growl to it almost like a 350Z, not to loud but noticable, BTW do you know of anyone who installed that header on their 1st Gen?

Well, today I finally had my Blitz catback exhaust installed and I have mixed feelings..It is louder but it does sound good IMO..I didn't have new gaskets so the shop used gasket sealer instead.I would like to get the proper gaskets but I dont know where to get them..Does anyone know where I could get 2.5" gaskets??
