LEDs and HIDs

how hard is converting small lighting (license plate, interior) into LED, are there clip on conversions, or is cutting of wires needed?
 
also what needs to be done to convert the fogs and daytime lights to HIDs?

For the license plates & interior it's as easy as changing the bulbs plug and play.
Fog lights are as easy as installing HIDs for your headlights. Plug and play! It took me about 30min to do my fogs, hardest part being taking off the stock parts!

just color match your foglights/ drl's with tinted bulbs, if you run HID's in them, you are going to blind people. 

also, drl's are a low powered halogen bulb, so HID's won't  turn on at all with them not being fully powered.

low beams or high beams? and what car is this going on?

LEDS are easy to do. The hardest part of doing HID fogs was finding a spot to mount the ballast. I have bought leds from SUPERBRIGHTLEDS.

how is the brightness of the DLR's? LEd lights are nice in color but dont give off to much light..These bulbs look like they are for looks over function..Anyone use those 8000k LED Dlr's yet?

'00 platinum ls400, low beam?

the best way to set up HID's is to retrofit. this means taking the projector and hid system from a vehicle set up for HID and mounting them inside your headlight. i've done this with all my vehicles and they work excellent. nice cutoffs that don't blind other drivers.

I agree 100% with you on that.  I did the same with my Pontiac Grand prix, I placed audi projectors in there.  Not only do you benifit from usable light output, they also look great in the housings.  There only problem is, this is not something everyone can do.  It is time consuming.  On the bright side(no pun intended) there are alot of guys that will do this online for about $200-$250 for labor, you just have to supply the parts but projectors can be had for cheap on ebay or at a junk yard.

V-leds.com has LED DRL's and plenty of LED's for your lights all you have to do is find out what size bulb they are and buy

what color is the stock lexus' running? blue or white? which one is for the license plate lights?

The newer Lexus models are running white LEDs. 
 
You'll need to get 194/168 wedge LED bulbs for the plate lights.

What do you think about the Xenon Depot HID kits?

HID kits are nice.  I'm running a 12K kit in my Silvia.  the only problem was retrofitting them into the JDM housings.  The bulbs for these kits are usually plug-play, but for mine i had to hollow out the old bulbs and assemble my own HID bulbs.  but the results are amazing, great color, great view distance, i havent used my high beams since installing them.
