New to YOU...guide the newb

whats up guys.... i feel sorta weird introducing myself as a sorta newb since im considered one of the guru guys in the 240sx world but you gotta start somewhere..HELLO

anyways i have a S14 240 with the usual and i used to have an Ls400 which was becoming Viped out until it got stollen then i bought the 240 and ive had it for 3 years.
 But although i will keep the Nissan im getting tired of south florida traffic with a light flywheel and a 6 puck clutch...so needless to say ...Daily Driver time!!

GUIDE ME:
Im a little short on cash so im looking for VIP STYLED......id much rather go back to the roots of VIP style than a KIA or something but 

it also has to be reliable and preferable low mileage..<80k miles because i have enough headaches with the other car. Less than 7k dollars cash and 4 door.

00+ Maxima

I say wait and buy an actual VIP chassis or an accord wagon or something. The cars you have listed there don't lend themeselves to a vip look very easily and it will cost you a lot more money in the long run to make them look nice. Use the search function and learn about VIP that way you can do it right the first time.

my advice, buy the car you really want.  If you can't get it right way, save up a bit.  Trust me, you will be happier in the long run with the car you want rather than just settling for one for the sake of it.  No fun in modding a car that you barely want

A 97-98 Q45 can be purchased under 7K, but I know you would like to have 80K miles or less. For $7K, you could find a 97 Q45 with about 130K miles or more on craigslist.

I got the same opinion mang, I wouldn't spend the time or money on something that in 2-3 years you'll go wtf? Know what I mean?

So that being said, if you can't afford the GS, LS, Q45, M45, or really any generic VIP style car... save and wait :D it'll be great when you have that car!

I am sure if you look hard enough you can find a Q45 or an LS fir a great price. There was one here not to long ago for under $8000 and it had under 100k miles on it.
 
I know you are looking for something that is under 80k miles but these cars can go much much longer. So if you find a good priced Q ..test drive it , take it a mechanic and have it checked out..if all is well get because like I said these cars are made to last. I paid $10000 for my Q about 2 years ago. I got it with 107k miles and I am at 117k miles and absolutlet no problems..well one but it was the alternator not the drivetrain..10k miles in a little under 2 years not bad....but its a 50/50 DD..I have another family vehicle for when we all roll 6 deep.

Maybe you guys could work something out.  IF you think about it its not bad and the money you would spend on mods you wont have to...

so the q45 is a reliable car with 100k miles+ ?
besides like the aboved mentioned ex alternators starters ect.

if so ive found a few for about 8 grand with 90k miles....uhhh ohh mayybe ill get it...

Q's can be very reliable if they are taken cared of. I have my 94 with 180k+ for about 5months now no problems except the valve cover gaskets needing to be changed. And now the starter may need ot be replaced. Just be sure to look around and search and research. heheh
