Would you like to see.............

A new section in the forums dedicated to write-ups, DIY's, and "How-To's"? Some of us agree that tutorials would be a great addition to the site and would help minimize our, sometimes tiring search, for write-ups on how the heck we take something off, put something back together, or just modify on our rides.
 
Before anyone asks, if we start a tutorials section, it would more than likely consist of the common VIPcar platforms and other vehicles commonly "accepted" in the VIPstyle genre.

I love DIYs, even for stuff I'm never going to do. Knowledge is power.

I say yeah is a good idea. You can use mine for curtains if you like. Hopefully we get enough folks willing to take the time to snap pics at each stage of the how to. and write about it..

id like to see someone do some picturial detailing secrets.

I voted yes, I mean it would really help a lot of the guys who have no clue..well, have one.  And it would also stop repetitive questions from popping up over and over.   Some shops might not agree for fear of losing sales, but I think it could increase them as guys would be more eager to DIY and make a purchase they might not have otherwise.

man....I think it would end up to be a very popular section.



But I see why auditech and rob voted no.  I wouldnt wanna give out my secrets on how I got my fitment, or how I got a certain hard to find part, and installed it.

we don't always have to talk about fitment, hell, I'm about to replace my windshield wiper motor in my UCF10.  that could be my first write-up. I'm sure it'd help someone. lol

It would help. I know OneTon and DXJP alone have posted enough in the past to atleast get this forum started!

regardless of secrets we wanna keep, we have to think of it along the lines of the fact that after preaching it forever about how it isn't VIP or VIPstyle if it isn't done right..... isn't it about time we made sure people did it right? we can't blame people for wanting to do t heir rides up right and failing if we didn't help them out, elitist mentalities will get us no where, community mentalities will keep us together and strong as a forum. just my 2¢.

Actually when I voted........sometimes i have good info to pass on to someone and they dont believe me.  For example the wheels Zion has I told about 7 folks with the Y33 how those offsets and sizes would fit no problem. I think I scared most of them. Once XK-Y33 posted up the pics which was 1 yr later folks are like yeah that size will fit.  Mine would not of been a D.I.Y. more as Info.  Now that folks have seen 2 Y-33's with those offsets and no fender flares you will see more and more with those sizes.

So when i voted was not to slam anyone it was just what I was feeling / thinking at the time. Zion's write up was better then if i posted it can be done cause he had more proof then i did at the time.

Heck i even told Johnny (High Society VIP) about them cause he wanted to do something NO ONE else had done to his Y33 and he only went with the grill advise Zion has. Dont know if he ever did those size offsets. 

EDIT: To this day NOT many have tried to do a custom air for the LS engine like i did 4 yrs ago.......... alot ask how i did it most have not done it oh yeah cant forget the BLITZ air clearer they said COST TOOOOOOOOO MUCH. LOL

Im not surprised over the yrs it always the same until someone else does it then its cool. Curtians - Green Tint - Window Visors (this topic was funny on CL yrs back) - Side window table - OH YEAH cant forget GARSON was like a joke and wow it was too expensive ( Now Look they are going USA ) the list goes on.

Yeah when you first showed these to me I really wanted them but I knew at that time they were out of my reach...ITs just amazing how Big this world is and at the same time how small the world is..I would have never thought that I would have seen the exact wheels again. When XK-Y33 posted them on his car I knew they were the same ones I saw a year ago when {-.-} showed me..( and {-.-} he did say that they would fit:thumbsup: ) When Mikey mentioned he wanted to sell them I did not waiste anytime and went straight to work trying to get the funds needed to pick them up asap because I knew with some work these would make my car look way way different and stand out from the rest of  the Y33's on this forum. Now I think I actually can say my car is a VIP CAR. If {-.-} never showed me and told me what he did and Mikey for making them available I would have never got these wheels..So thanks to you 2 OG's for making this possible.
 
So he does pass on info its just who is listening and who is not. One thing about {-.-} is he speaks his mind and he will provide info but you have to listen and want to learn..
 
When it comes to VIP style you have to be a "FOX kids Go Getter!" or else you will be left in the dark.

It would be a great section to have. If you like to do it yourslef (sorry had too love that movie)
