A few pics of Lexi...spacers needed.

Here's a few pics of Lexi. As you all can see, I really need some spacers to get my wheels to sit flush with my fenders. I'm sure it's not quite easy to tell from a picture but what size spacers would you all say that I need in the front/rear? and does any Lexus fanatic here have any to sell me?

wheel specs (for those who will ask) are:

fronts - 19x8.5 235/35/19
rears - 19x9.5 255/30/19

wow man, FINALLY.... :light:

It looks fantastic, I love it. Im not too sure about the lexi hood ornament but its definetly original, im sure itll grow on me. Also imo you should give the ol' fusa another wrap around your mirror, I know its peronal preference but i think it would look just a touch cleaner if it hung there with no slack or visible lines.

So when are you getting air bro

The car looks GREAT! Personally, I would look for some different wheels, instead of just using spacers.

Could you take some better pics of the seats? Do you like the fitment? Im considering ordering from them.

5mm won't cut it. it'll make a minimal difference if any. my benz had intrax springs with bilstein sport shocks and #1 spring shims. but keep in mind, they don't make coilovers for w124. so I was resticted.

I am undergoing the task of looking for some different rims but I want to see what I can do with these for now. I still love these wheels and I don't want to let go just yet. :p

I'm doing a photoshoot this week with a few friends so I will get you some better pics of the leather seats. As far as fitment, I can honestly say that I would ONLY go with leatherseats.com for direct leather replacement (they smell great too! lol).

instead of connecting it at the top, pull both sides of the rope down to the bottom of the rear view mirror pillar and attach them there, Then it will be just the mirror and the fusa, you wont be able to see the rope the fusa is hanging from, I would have pics but I gave my fusa to a friend cause I was starting to feel alittle to asian haha :p

it will look very mean once you get it on air or more aggressive coil overs. I think it would look much nicer without the hood ornament. Its too bad I couldn't make it out to the UH meet to see it in person.

I'm getting spacers later this week or early next week before Mean Streets in Austin and I'm definitely going universal air over coilovers in a few months.

that's right! I remember when we last talked on the phone you lived in Austin. 512 homie. lol

I'd have to meet you up at your house way before the show in order for us to get those JIC's on my LS4. I'll be bringing it in on a trailer.

My sentiments almost exactly... with the more aggressive kit your wheels and stance have to back it up. I would honestly love to see the wheels you have now just in a more agressive offset.Looks really good though very well done so far.

my thoughts exactly.

some folks say they love the rims with the Junction Produce kit, some say otherwise. personally, I love my rims. sure, I can sell my rims/tires and get wider rims with lower offset but I want to see what I can pull with these bad boys first before I switch it up.

Aren't the curtain crystals should've been facing outside instead of inside?

*Remember this is MY opinion only and sorry for the fast chop*
Grill, fogs (which you got coming), led mirrors, better offset wheels, better stance, paint that crap behind the front bumper flat black (overspray is not pretty), rear wing, roof wing, JP hood mascot..and you're set! (also fixed the Fusa issue to how I think it looks better)

like I said, my LS4 is still an ongoing project but I am going to use some of your ideas as a blueprint. I actually appreciate the fast chop, it still looks good.

Thanks- (arigatou)

P.S. That roof wing for the UCF10 is NOT easy to find. I would of already had it a long time ago if it was.

IMO if your going to shave off the front turn signals then dont bother with mirror blinkers, I think the two blend together and it looks kinda weird with one and not the other.

i just matched my interior colors that were already there. the seats are dark graphite and light grey just like everything else in the car. leatherseats.com did a DAMN good job matching my interior just from what I told them over the phone. they're going to post interior pics of my LS4 on their website sometime this month.

P.S. someone online called my UCF10 a mojado ride (wetback ride) and said it should be in a lowrider magazine. LOL

as for chrome door pillars, you know it's underneath the black tape right? LOL. you can peel it/scrape it off, but it's like a brushed aluminum underneath. if you sand it/polish it out though, you can get it pretty blinging. i did it on my old ls400. if you are down to do it, then go for it, but it takes a while.

And I thought I spent a ridiculous amount of money on my interior, this by far, beats them all. My car is going to have to stay in a public storage garage for good. If someone swipes that JP hood mascot, pinch, out $200 just like that!

(also fixed the Fusa issue to how I think it looks better)[/QUOTE]

this looks great, your car will look great once all this work is done. Nice chop. I want one of my car the next time I post up pics. Which should be after the bold world is installed.

Like everyone else said, your wheels are nowhere as aggressive as they need to be to pull together the look you may be trying to go for. An aggressive kit needs aggressive fitment and an aggressive stance.

got 25mm spacers for the front and 20mm spacers for the rear last night. They look way better now and honestly, the spacers made the rims appear bigger last night.

Lexi's currently in the shop getting her fenders rolled and pulled and the new JP bumper put on. next week, she's going in for another paint job. afterwards, we're talkin airbags people (probably coilovers for a few months until then).

Are the fenders getting pulled because you have a new set of wheels on the way or because the spacers moved the wheels out further then the fenders?

the spacers moved the wheels out further than the fenders which started to cause massive rubbing. looks better though.

Good to see the progress...but other than the things already mentioned, you either need to get a new Celsior emblem, or get the crooked "LSI" piece lined up with the rest of the emblem.

UPDATE!

So it's 4AM and I'm finally home. Here are some pics of the JIC's installed and finally on my 91 LS 400.

Before we begin, I want to apologize for the crappy lighting, "blurred" photography, and/or just plain crappy pictures. I was tired, my feet hurt, I'm dirty and greasy, and I just want to go to bed.

So here, enjoy them for what they are. *yawn*

Old Tokico/Tanabe setup:

New JIC FLT-A2 VIP coilover setup:

How my LS4 used to sit with the old setup:
Forum image

How she sits now with the new JIC setup + 1" Kic spacers all around + new paint (again) - Lexus hood ornament:
Forum image

And some more random pics:

Some camber jazz going on:
Forum image

These JIC's are not on max low (obviously), however, I'm not going to drive around town slammed, although I was very tempted to, unless I'm going somewhere important. What I've shown here is my daily driving setup. Even then, there's still no room for a finger to go through the space between the tire/fender.

Next project:
1) Selling my Toyo Proxes + rims.
2) Hopefully, getting the same rims in a way lower offset.
3) Getting some Falken's and stretching the hell out of them.

I'll post the DIY/tutorial later. Until next time, good night.

that boy asad;67295 wrote:how is the ride... i like the drop now and where did u get it installed from?

how it rides depends on how stiff the spring rate is and how much you adjust the dampner. right now, I've got it nearly 100% "stiffed out" so it's a very bumpy ride inside the cabin, but it's fun.

installed it with a friend at his private garage on the SW side of town. it's where I get most of my work done.

well my fenders are already rolled and the two front are pulled too. I MIGHT have to pull the two rear slightly but we'll see.

cracked my front bumper in half last Saturday night. re-fiberglassed it with the boys at Home Built and re-painted it in 24 hours, just in time for a small car show here that happened yesterday and still took home a trophy for Home Built. now she's in the shop again for a 360 degree revamp.
