Now just order some VIP mags and it's all over! hahahahaha! I was with big steve and AF and I still couldn't get over his car! ;D The funny thing is I saw these rims sitting in the shop w/o tires and I was thinking Man these are some cheap knock off Auto-Coutures! Then Freddie told me how the rims were over a grand a wheel, custom made to fit the car and a true 3-piece rim. It changed my mined completly! hahaha! And when we threw them on the car MY GOD!!!!!

Thanks for all the comments everyone. Project is long from finished, I'll put some progress pics when I get some of my parts installed.
BIG STEVE FOR PRESIDENT!!!
Question Big Steve, is there a reason why you went with this wheel over the AC one? If it cost over a grand a wheel, you could have had the same wheel, same offset, same finish, made by AC?
Going with the VR01 was to help Autofashion with a new wheel line that they are helping promote, and they take care of companies that take care of them. But why pay more for a "vip" stamp? As far as I'm concerned, what is vip? Who says what is vip and what isn't?
Who says what is vip and what isn't?
Well I could name a few names or faces! hahahahaha! J/K
I'm not knocking the wheel, I was just wondering what your motive was, because as far as the pricing it comes out about the same....I figured it would have been because you were helping promote the company or something along those lines. No biggie, the wheels still look good!
Wow, that LS is pretty good.

yeah i agree with big steve.. who cares if its "VIP" or JDM.. i dunno if i like it when someone asks.. oh so you're into JDM? or VIP.. or Drift?.. why classify it? good fitting wheels has always been around since the beginning of "fixing up".. wheels always made/break cars haha lets call it something besides vip ok big steve.. we'll call it "captain america".. damn your car is so captain america haha!
Is that LS on airs?

Do you have a Link to a website with the line up on it ??
I'm sorry but I'm sure that MR VIP himself (of JP) would back you up in saying that those wheel's would be considered VIP......Get over it, they look sick and definatly dont make his car look race inspired or anything......It look's 100% VIP from where I'm sitting......
M3This;68249 wrote:What is the actual wheel line called ???? Do you have a Link to a website with the line up on it ??
Thanks for all the comments everyone, I was just answering a simple question that was asked, let's not get into a "vip/bippu/veep/vee eye pee" debate as theres a whole section dedicated to that. hehe, but I'll get some pics up when I get a chance, just been caught up with work lately so I can barely even post on the site as of late. :\
What is the actual wheel line called ???? I think most of you guys aren't understanding my question. Let me rephrase, why would you pay as much as an original wheel, only to buy the essential 'knockoff' (not hating but that's what it is considering we thought they were AC wheels) but since he is promoting the company, I understand. No one was trying to start a what's vip and what isn't debate.
IMO I like the VIPModulars way better than the ACs I think it's way more VIP J/K! hahahahahha! but I do like them better!
U know what i still dont see an Autofashion logo on there why is that hmmmmmm.....
Does AC wheels have that much effect that when there made here in the states and "NOT IN JAPAN" that it makes it even more VIP because of the name? I dont think of it as persay it is a knock off just another option. The company is willing to work with anyone out there and gives "YOU" the customer what they want without alot of fender modification. I think its just an up and coming company that will make its way into VIP styling throughout the year and it will be recognized just like AC would or Junction Produce... Remember this wheel is made in the states yes but when u need to fix it or replace it you wont have to send it back to Japan... And yes AC's are made right here in the states and uses the same companies as VIP Modular and most of the 3 pcs wheel companies such as HRE!
:hsughwerd:
double werd!
I'm not going to debate about it, it's just a simple question. The fact that he's apparently sponsored (hence 'promoting company') I then understood why he chose this company, a NEW company, over an established, reputable company. I never said, 'why didn't you get something vip'. I stated, why didn't you just go with AC, rather than this company.

Im not knocking any company its just that it is a high qualuty made wheel and its trying to get out there. Hopefully we see more of the VIP modular =) they made there way to japan with articles in the new LS magazine! Everyone always want to know why u go for "those" instead of "these" And to be honest with you I was skeptical about new things like Airrunner and VIP Modular and well they turned out to be something way better then what we thought and at Autofashion we will sell you something we would put on our own cars to make sure u have the best quality product out there and yes we use all our products that we carry =)
How long did it take to get yours done??? I ordered mine 2 months ago and they're still not done. I was trying to help Yuya out with them on for a few shows, but missed them both. I have a set of there VR 03 and the quality is really good. We may run a special on them next month.
damn steve ur car looks fly as hell when i saw u the other day did u have the wheels
steve these rims are pretty damn sick. i love the fit and stance on your car.
