What strectches more Dunlops or Falkens?

For all you guys out there running dunlops and who have ran falkens..
What tire streches more?
Falkens 452's or Dunlop Sports

IT looks like Falkens have a few more sizes than dunlop and priced a lot less? 
I like the dunlops design however falkens tread is very similar..I have heard
good stories about both but what tires stretch more?

ill try to get you some pics. my ame's got 24535/19 dunlops, direzza's though. and my fabo's got 235/35/19 falkens. but the dunlops LOOK like they got more stretch.

it all depends on the model of tire,I ran both tires on my cars( and currenty running the 452's) the Dunlop SP9000 will def. stretch much better then any falken tire, but once they start to wear off, be ready for a really noisy ride. On the other hand falken's are so much cheaper and at the same time have a good grip and stretch that they should def. be the first choice. Also the 512's stretch more then the 452's so if they make it in the size you need do get them.

I used to have 452s when I had 225-35-19F/235-35-19R. The strech was pretty good but the tire wear wasn't that impressive. I now have Nankangs and they strech WAY better IMO and the tire tread is why more efficiant!!!!

note: size for size, 452's run slightly larger.

dunlop sp9000 and sp maxx stretch nicely and are great tires, theyre a bit pricey though

Falken ST115's stretch pretty good, maybe because their sidewalls are more rounded.

I would go with the Dunlops if money is not an issue.

I run Direzza DZ101s.  235/40 on an 18x10.  It stretched ok I guess.  I really liked the ST-115s I used to have.  I don't like the DZ101s because the sidewalls are single ply, so they're really soft compared to most tires, and being on an S13 that I drive the shit out of, I want a stiffer sidewall.  You may be happier with a softer sidewall though.  The 235 on the 10j went of just like normal, no special mounting tricks necessary.

talks about Falkens and these Dunlops that I have seem to be really nice tires..I love the tread design..and the strech is awsome...I may look into a 215/35/19 for the front wheel (19x9) once these go bald but I think I will stick with the same tire in the rear..I think thats fine and pretty maxed out...I want to push out the front wheels with a spacer and add some camber...so I think the 215/35/19 should fit just perfect...

I odn't know anything about those dunlops, but I do know there is a pair of them for sale from a friend of mine in the For Sale forum.

Have you noticed your Nankangs are alittle louder than the Falkens?  I had to take mine off.  They sounded like a lifted truck going down the road after a while.  I wasnt happy at all.  Then really wore fast too.  They are supposedly a harder composition tire.

what about pirelli pzero rossos? 255/35/20 on a 10" wide rim?

i am on falken st115's but i lost one tire to damage and i cannot find a replacement... found a used pair of these pirellis and i'm wondering if they will be a good choice.

:shrug: Mine are fine so far. I like them alot better than the 452s I had before. I know the sound your talking about but mine doesn't have that sound at all at least yet and the tire wear so far is Great! (Even when riding super low!:biggthumpup:) My tires have about maybe +10K miles on them!

falken FK452's are beefy!
the older falken(st115, 451) had more stretch than most tires,
whereas the new 452's totally went the other way. they looked
even wider than the equal size in toyo.

sometimes it depends on the rim too...my zaubers didn't have a 'bead' line near the inner part of the rim so my stretch appeared a lot less...
 
i would choose fk452's handsdown...they stretch nice and made to carry the weight of a big luxury sedan...very comfortable ride.

There was a pair of ST115 215/35/19 brand new on ebay yesterday.  Not sure if its still there.  I miss ST115. 
 
I don't want to to use the FK452 because of how wide they are for the size.  I think I'll try the Nankangs next.  Direzza only comes in a couple 19" sizes in Canada.

hey fellahs, i just bought some dunlop direzzas to stretch... got them for a good price online :) my new rims came in from japan so i will post up some pics of the tire fitment... later fellahs!
