Do Pirelli's Stretch?

How well do pirellis stretch? Just got some pirelli rosso 295/30/19 put on 12J rims and i thought with the lower profile should give some mild stretch, but seems like the side wall sticks abit further out....anyone had experience with these tyres? Not trying to have massive stretch, more what tyres i could find...

You probably should've gone with some 275/35 or 275/30/19's for a better stretch.

295/30/19 may have a small sidewall but if it's stretched at all it's a very mild stretch.  Keep in mind you have 'rim protectors' on those tires most likely (or definitely) so it may make it seem wider at that sidewall point nearest the rim which would make it seem like it's mushrooming a little.

yeah thats what it sounds like - must be those rim protectors that are making it mushroom a bit on the sidewall. no pics yet....they are my spare rims which im deciding which ones to keep compared to my current AMEs.  i was able to get the tyres with good tread secondhand for 1/7th the price of a new similar tyre fitted and balanced....they only had 275/45/19 which i didnt want so i went with the 295/30.  what exactly is with the rim protector that makes it bulge out near the rimn?

The 'Rim protector' is just there to prevent curb damage on the wheels.  Many tires come with it nowadays including most falkens and dunlops, I believe, that's why many people would stretch a 275 onto a 12 instead of a 295.

The 'rim protector' always bulges past the actual section width of the tread (sidewall to sidewall measurement) and can be quite thick.  So it may make your 295 seem more like a 305 (Not at tread point, just at sidewall where tire meets wheel)

your problem is not the tire size it is the actual tire, a 295/30 will def. stretch nice on a 12" wide wheel, but the Rosso is a big sidewall tire and will not look like it's stretches much, the only Pirelli's worth stretching is the P-Zero Nero

what is your suspension setup where u will need such a dramatic stretch?

Factory air on an admiration widebody UCF11. He needs to go flush so i dont slap him (:D) and since he is on pillowy factory air, he needs max clearance to avoid rubbing while going round a corner, accelerating, braking, etc. 
 
Factory air is the hardest to go flush with, since going low means you only have a few PSI in the bags. Its the whole reason i swear by coilovers right now...

thats ok im gonna sell the wheels. I think my current setup and wheels look alot better then the evolutions.  In the end, i was abit disappointed with the deep wheel hub taking all the outer dish from the evolutions (about 4inch worth out of the 13inchs across) my current AME's have very low dish brake clearance (taking only 2inchs out of the whole wheel) which makes the outer dish exactly similar on the AME's vs Evolution. Ive decided i like my current setup atm...and yes Dom, the fitment of the AME's are much better since i added the 26mm spacers :) I think i took a pic, ill put one up soon. If only some sellers on yahoo actually responded to emails! Dom interested in them :P
