Help with Tire Sizes for my New Wheels!

Hey guys,

I recently acquired some new 20s for my W202 C-Class Mercedes with the following specs:

20 * 8 et41
20 * 10 et 39

What size tires should I run to not have a bulbous look, yet not have a "crazy" stretch? I was thinking of going 225/30/20 and 255/30/20 FK452s. Does this sound like a good combination that will give me a mild stretch with a nice rounded edge, but not expose the lip too much? Does anyone have this combination? Thanks!

Hm 20x8 in the front is quite narrow. The 225 will sit flush and may even be mushroomed a little depending on the tire design. A 215 would sit a bit better on it, but that might be hard to find for a 20". I guess the 30 sidewall on the 225 should be okay, but I would've gone with an 8.5 or 9 for the front instead of 8".

A 255 on a 10 is perfect for the rear though.

see now this pic of Benji's car has me really confused:

here he has a 19 * 9.5 with a 225 (FK452) and it doesn't look too aggressive. I wonder if a 245 in the back would be better for me?

^^ In that pic, it looks like he has a 35 profile tire. You might wanna go with a lower profile, to get more of a stretch.

I dont think his rear is a 225/35 its a 235/35 on a 9.5 wheel and his fronts are 215/35 on an 8.5 wheel

Thats what a 245/40 looks like on a 9.5. It's very very very very slightly stretched.

That's why I recommended going with a 225

Here's my stance (I know it's dark)

245/40 on 9 on the front 245/40 on 9.5 on the rear

I hope the pics help a little. My angles aren't too good in those shots.

The narrowest 452s come in for 20s is 225 IIRC so you really dont have have a choice unless you go with a different brand that comes in a smaller width. 255/30 would be good for the rear though.

I don't care if it's not that stretched, I just don't it to bulge out. You don't think that should be an issue, do you?

I believe 225/30 on 20x8 will be about square with 452s maybe a tiny bit of stretch but barely noticeable.

I guess I'll have to live with that to have some badass tires. Thanks for all your help!

well most tires stretch differently...FK452's stretch more like / \ ...a nice stretch because it clears your fender more and tapers inward...the kumho for example stretches more like a bulge ( ) because of the bigger rim/curb protector.

The tire sizes you chose are good for what you want but maybe knock it down to 215 and 245's but with 35 series tires...
