1st gen aristo owners

I'm considering buying a first gen aristo (1993) and was wondering how the VIP market is for the car?  I notice a few of you on here own them, and the one in the For Sale section looks AMAZING.  I'm new to the VIP scene, but have built several other tuner cars and work for a tuning shop, so I'm no stranger to tuning.  I've done some searching on the site for them and havent found many pictures or styling ideas.

I couldn't agree more.  I've spent a few years building my last car, so getting the work done is no problem.

I almost got a GS300, before I got my SC300. I love the bodystyle. The Aristo is even better, ...comes turbocharged, and has lots of little goodies that we didnt get in the US.

i like my first gen a lot...
but with an older car, parts are still expensive(maintence wise)...
as for used parts, its not readily available like the 2nd gen(98+).
so if u need a window regulator, you might have to shop around
or order new from lexus($600). when a honda accord is like 50 bucks
for an aftermarket on ebay.

what plans do you have with this car? HKS, Tein, Tanabe, JIC all makes suspension for this car, and a ton of Japanese VIP Companies sell bodykits for it as well.
keep in mind the US spec one uses different front and rear bumpers. so some lips or
1/2 bumper fascia's might not work on it. in addition, if you get a japanese
bodykit, you might need to run the japanese support, even if it's FULL bumper.
i know a lot of people just take it out though.

I'm pretty comfortable with JDM body parts since i just put the silvia front end on my s13.

tein doesn't make that many applications for our cars and the CS's are
not available in the US, rumors have it that its discontinued, but i dunno
if you can special order from Japan or something. Make sure you get coilovers
with threaded shock bodies, because I think you need a good 4" drop to look
good, im not a bodykit fan, and i prefer little to none fender gap.

JDM headlights and taillights are a big difference, as well as JDM front bumper.

i dunno if it's just the aimgain rear but the exhuast cut outs don't match the placement of the usa exhuast.  might be a thing to look out for when picking out a kit.

There are plenty of aftermarket parts do some reserch youll be surprised on how many parts you could get  the 1st Gen, the car  has alot of aftermarket support another  +  is the body styling never gets old it still looks like a new styled car, good luck on your build!
