new and looking into previas
hey guys im new to the boards and was looking into getting a 93-94 LS400 BUT i want a van b/c of the passenger room and saw the previas on the site so now im thinking (will probably get) previa. i found out the lug patterns are 5x114 which is good b/c i have a set of 20's laying around with that pattern. i belive theyre 20x8.5 +35 so i believe theyll tuck? i was also wondering if there are any year/models in particular i should look for. ive been searching around and found that they also come in AWD and supercharged. now should i stick with the RWD and stay awway from the s/c'd ones or what combo is more reliable/easier to modify? im just generally looking for things to look out for when buying these vans that some statistic site isnt gonna give me. thanks for the help in advance:biggthumpup:

Welcome to VSC! First off, the 91-93 are easier to get the front struts out because of a small access compartment for the right strut. 94-97 have a different front bumper, wiper arms are better for looks, and are a pain of the ass to change the front struts. A common problem with previas is the whistling noise which is from one of the catalytic converters and also a leaking oil problem. Also if you're going to be doing your own maintenance on this car, you should know that changing the spark plugs requires some work especially if you don't have a lift. As for the non-SC versus SC version, I have seen problems with the SC version. Go for the previa LE. If you would like more info, feel free to contact me.

Since you'll be doing your own maintenance, PM me if you need any help. Just ask the guy when or what he did on his last tune up? Good luck on the project.
